ok quick q sorry i prolly couldve searched but id like to hear it from you guys
is it normal to have to support the stems?
when does the stem start to harden in veg?
there all comin up on there 2nd set of tru fan leaves ones workin on its 3rd
i made the mistake of transplanting way to early.. luckly i didnt go big i think there in 1 gal's and they seem to love teh ocean forest and just had there first watering in 4 days
btw they get 14 hrs or so of mh and the rest cfl
im broke till i can grab up a vent system with the fan i have everything else.. im just hopin they can hold out a few more days

They will make it and strengthen, hopefully!
Do you have an oscillating fan moving air in the room and blowing on those weak babies?

yup sure do
so after the 2nd set of tru leaves they start to take off in veg? hopefully if not i dont see how there goin keep up with those big fat fan leaves

No its not normal to have to support the stems of seedlings, you probably have your light to far away from them. They will harden over time, and faster with a slight breeze blowing over them. Just dont overdo the fanning of them.

Well you cant really transplant too early, that is unless your transplanting into a medium with too much nutes for the plant at the time. The fan will help to build them up.
Veg starts about 3 to 4 weeks after germ, once the plant has its 3rd set of tru leaves typically, right around that time. Youll kno when you see growth pick up considerably compared to prior weeks.

You can transplant them and let only the leave above the dirt.

You could do that if your really carefull but it can lead to damping off pretty easily. Id support them with something until they can hold themselves up, they wont die just cause the stem isint sturdy yet but taking unnecessary measures can pose other problems you dint have in the first place ya kno.

ya i woke up today and one actually exploded in growth they seem to be doin good .. theyll get a final transfer but its goin be atleast another month
i think ill learn alot about growin from doin it from seed to finish.. but next round its goin be clones all the way
