Music and Growing

Does anyone play music for their plants as they are growing? I have a small bongo drum that I played for my seeds that haven't sprouted yet for about 20 minutes.
And I plan on putting a small radio in there tuned to jazz playing 24/7 when the seeds do sprout.
Does anyone incorporate music into their growing process?

Nope, but I definitely talk to my plants when I'm looking them over. Force of habit

I got a friend in the UK who grows and he does it. He totally believes it works too.
I dunno... I like to believe in it but I guess it's sort of hard to sometimes. I use to be all logic but weed and shrooms have really opened up a deeper and more spiritual love and respect for plants and life I never knew I had. I fucking love my plants to death though and I know that, if they can feel it, they do.
Sometimes I talk to them but not really... it's just sort of thinking out loud but I do it around my plants. Just being around my closet makes me happy.

One time I was on a heavy dose of acid...and it might have just been the acid but as I walked around the valley, climbing hills and walking through trees....I felt like the plants were conscious of my presence.
Like..I bent down to touch a thistle at one point, and the plant literally reached out and grasped at my finger.
It scared the fuck out of me.
But anyways. Yeah...I just figure if I play music for them and talk to them and just generally give them lots and lots of love and company they will grow nice and danky for me :]

it seems natural. we are all one. its like the power of a positive attitude. some people give off good vibes where ever they go. others have a trail of shit that lurks in their aftermath. but i would like to do some controlled experiments in this area. i mean playing the plants music like cannibal corpse and white supremest stuff and the other with shit like enya and other positive type music. Just to see if there's a noticeable difference in any aspect of growth. i wonder if mag has done anything like that.

Actually I was told Mythbusters did this sort of experiment. The plants that were played soft spoken voices speaking compliments and classical music did better than the plants that were played heavy metal.

id be willing to bet they didn't do it with cannabis. And we all know the kind of mysterious powers and capabilities this plant has to offer.

Well, they didn't do it with cannabis. Maybe if you marijuana heavy metal the potency will rise?
Or the buds will become "heavier" hahaha.
I really have no idea just fuckin around with ideas.

I have found plants like classical and underground hip-hop over rock and country. I play my plant's alot of hip-hop. Aesop rock, Mr Lif, Murs, Tribe called Quest, KRS-ONE. Things of that nature along with occasional classical music. I saw that mythbusters you speak of. That was some creepy stuff. They hooked a plant up to a poly graph machine and then tried to scare it by yelling at it and staring at all hard. One time when they yelled at the plant once the meters on the poly graph jumped. It was amazing. They tried to discredit that account by saying it was some kind of technical fluke. But I saw what I saw and that plant responded to being frightened and stared down.

Plants are aware of us consciously dude. I promise! I experienced it. I know.
But yeah I might change up the mix... For a few weeks throw in some jazz, then maybe for a couple weeks some sts9 and/or some hip hop as you recommended. Souls of Mischief! WHOO!

It's all about manifest intention bros... If you put extra energy into your plants by singing to them, thinking about them, giving them that extra little pat on the leaf, they receive that energy.
Just look at what intentional energy can do to water:
Cannabis is like 75% water right?
I actually used to bless the water I sprayed my shrooms with.... lol

The person who did the research in "what the bleep do we know" has been discredited time and again for picking and choosing the results that end up in his final reports. I'm talking specifically about the ice crystal research. Many grants and awards have been offered for him to reproduce his results under strict scientific scrutiny and he has yet to produce.
Having said that, I do believe that plants respond to music. I can't find the studies at the moment but I recall seeing or hearing about studies by universities that apply music to plants and recording any difference in growth. They had shown that the plants that were exposed to music like Beethoven and Mozart showed marked improvement to ones that weren't.
I play music to my plants. Not 24/7, because otherwise I would be able to hear it while I sleep, but at least every day. I choose to play the type of music that I enjoy, and that tends to be pretty up beat progressive music. Not too much hardcore, but there is some System Of A Down in there occasionally. That's about as hard as it gets.

I think the premise of that research is still valid even if the data to support it is not. It's still a powerfully positive message that has positively effected many people.
