I'll keep that in mind...I have no idea about campsite or anything. I just started doing my research.

Well if you want. Its worth it, you should camp with the homies XPAT Alien. We set up a big bar and bring sound out and have parties at our camp.
I have some vids of some parties they are pretty banging mang. A little low down, if you camp with a theme camp or a bar they will usually make you pay "camp dues." This is a good thing. My camp brings out a big bio fuel rig and brings out a lot for us. Our camp dues are $100. For that you get drinking and cooking water provided for you for the whole week. Which means you don't have to tote 25-30 gallons of water out in your car (the weight really packs on and gas mileage suffers). You only have to cook one meal, for a breakfast, lunch or dinner and you get the rest of the meals cooked for you (meal share program). Each person brings a enough for one meal for 25-30 people and this happens every day, organization usually takes place well before the burn. We have a shower that you can use daily, I don't know if you mind but the playa dust sometimes will drive you insane. Its impossible to stay clean out there. Last year I wore my flip flops because I hated the feeling of playa dust in between my socks and shoes and my right foot started to crack open (random story lol). Also the camp provides top grade mixed drinks the whole week (some martian concoction that usually is 5 bottles of liquor and 5 bottles of mixer lol).
But keep in mind there is always the option of camping by yourself. You have to bring out a lot of gear for yourself.
Just some other things to keep in mind

Even if I dont go, each year it is so awesome. I live along the I-80 corridor, the mutant vehicles are so awesome to spot.

check out the maps training out there if you guys go. They do (or at least have done in the past) psychedelic training sessions. I think they are all about dealing with difficult psyche experiences from the perspective of a caretaker and the experiencer. Anyway, your camp sounds great! I wish I could go. actually i could.

Everyone who is serious about going and camping with XPAT should me. Let me know what state you live in. Ill let you know when the meet up dates are. You should try and make it to at least one. If one of you needs a place to stay for a night or so you can crash on the couch at my place most likely.
Last year we tried to do a Shroomery meet-up. It fell through because it wasn't planned well enough. This year will be better though, ima try to organize it.

im just a few hundred miles south of you. How much does it cost you to get out there and get back home? how do you travel out there? fly to reno then get picked up by some friends? I really need to make it out there.

We drive. It takes like 18 - 24 hours in a caravan. Expect to have at least $150-$200 for gas. From Colorado to Nevada I filled my tank up 4 maybe 5 times if I remember last year. The more you haul the less gas mileage you get. I will have a truck with a slide in camper so I will be getting about 15-17 mpg on the highway. Most of the driving is just I-80 until you get into Nevada. I wouldn't fly to Reno. I mean the desert is your home for a month so you need to make sure you bring a small home for you and clothes and other necessities, and other indulgences that I feel are sketch as fuck bringing on airlines, and in all honesty its better to just drive. Be there the night it opens on August 28th to get in and that's the safest route on the last part is being there when the gates open at midnight.

Keep in mind when you do go, this is the time to exercise all ability to follow the driving laws, more so when you get into Nevada. I usually well over the speed limit but once you get to Nevada, you absolutely obey all driving laws. They know whats going on that week, they are looking for those anxious burners trying to get out there. That's why its best to come in on Sunday at 12:00 - 12:30am. The flood of people is safer to travel in.
