The future of human evolution...

This is about genomics. He talks about what he calls, "Shit against the wall pharmacology". Which is the method that drug companies use to find 'cures' for diseases. Here's a disease, let's throw a bunch of compounds at it to see if we kill it. But in the future we'll understand our genome to where you give the pharmacist your genomic sequence and they build a drug specifically for you. No more billions spent on drug research. Makes me wonder about the politics involved with it. anyway, watch the video....
Pretty interesting video if you've got 20 minutes to spare. You should watch the whole thing. The end of it is just great.

Amazing video
As the speaker himself said, though, humanity has rewritten natural science into foreign chemicals "rewritting " different compounds to our environment, are we now doing any different? Are we really inclined to rewrite a once beautiful book into a jumbled mess of letters?
Yet in a strange way i feel this research will, like all other research into Science, get into the wrong hands. When will the "mad professor" decide a new fate for humanity? Or when will the richest of the richest control the humanity in a more direct way?
Where do we draw the line?
