Seriously, it's not hard to sell pot, so at best he's greedy (probably stupid too). At worst, as the others have mentioned, he's a cop. Or maybe he's an absolute psycho. Whatever the case may be, I think it's pretty clear that the risks here outweigh any possible benefit. The fact that he would even advertise something like this on CL is highly suspicious to me. Whatever his story is, there's something not right about it.

Hmm.. looking at the Shroomery thread, the responses don't seem polarized at all. They look about the same as these generally do. Not that it matters much I guess.

Police have made CL posts to make busts. There are precedents for this shit, and it isn't illegal. You know how to google now, check it out for yourself.

And one can also make this argument in court. Entrapment is being forced or coerced in to a crime one wouldn't have otherwise committed. This certainly doesn't apply to the OP. If he decides to respond to this ad, he does so out of his own free will. In which case, he is asking for it, and the guilt's on him.

Yeah, and besides, this doesn't really need to be explained. The fact is, incidents exactly like this have already occurred. That in mind, among many other obvious details, I think it's pretty clear this isn't a worthwhile risk. In fact, It's not even worth this length of discussion. I can't believe we're still talking about this.
