Anyone ever experience a conscious OBE? I have, and it's the only thing that makes me believe in the possibility of reincarnation.... If that isn't my soul, then it's an ability or illusion produced from my brain... Who knows?

This statement actually proves that our consciousness is not an "energy" in that every conscious thing stems from a point of creation. Yet, the physical law you site states that energy cannot be created nor destroyed. Yet, before my birth for example, there was a time before the molecules that made up my fetal flesh coalesced into organelles as directed by a double helical blueprint. Currently, "I" am not aware of conscious existence with awareness of "self" (or anything for that matter) prior to that time.
But, to ponder what might happen to this consciousness after the "glue" that holds it's biochemical seed pod together has worn away, one has to begin making assumptions.
