Hello everyone, i need some help on deciding which ec/ppm meter to get. I cannot decide on this HM Digital COM-100 meter or this cf 2385 ecostick. There both on ebay and here is the link
hxxp://cgi.ebay.com/HM-Digital-COM-100-TDS-EC-T-Meter-Tester-Conductivity_W0QQitemZ370207252362QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item5632125f8a
hxxp://cgi.ebay.com/EC-CF-PPM-CF-Dipstick-Meter-Hydroponics-Nutra-wand-DI1_W0QQitemZ390149634290QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_HomeGarden_Garden_PlantsSeedsBulbs_JN?hash=item5ad6baf8f2
This is another one as above not sure how good it is but has the same specs but cheaper. Not to mention it looks just like the bluelab truncheon. hxxp://cgi.ebay.com/EC-PPM-CF-Nutrient-Meter-Tester-Wand-Hydroponics_W0QQitemZ360235844964QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item53dfbac564
If any one can help me out a bit on making a decision i would really appreciate it. I like the hm com100 but then i would need calibration solution as well it does not seem to be included. Because of that reason i look at the ecosticks because they need no calibration. But i cannot find reviews on either of the sticks i am looking at. the ones i find are about calibrating them not if they were a good buy. I also am confused on when the specs say 0-3000ppm becaues the cheap tds meter i have now only goes to 999ppm reading. The ones i am looking at say 0-1000+ ppm reading does this mean i will see 4 digit readings with my nutrient solution? thanks

Yeah, if you got the money I think Magash recommends the bluelab truncheon. Here's the one i use with no hassle at all and no calibration needed after 2 grows. no battery changes or anything. just pick it up and push the on button stick in water read it, turn off and put back up. simple. It does have only 3 digital spaces but it measures more than that, up to as high as ive needed it to go.

I wish the wife would let me spend that money on a bluelab truncheon, LOL. That was all i was doing was making sure you knew that the bluelab was not an option.
I just felt that the price is too good to be true. Yet i seen some threads of people that bought them and were just asking about reading the numbers.
My luck, i will buy one and everybody plus there mother will chime in, saying there no good, lol.
I am starting to like that hm dcm 101 meter now though that i think about it. It is only 60.00 Yet i will have to calibrate and worry about the darn solution.
That bluelab is starting to get a golden glow around it, everytime i look at it now.
My tax refund is on its way now that i remember. Hmmm, Man i cannot decide which one to get I like the idea of no calibration.either 40 dollars or 100 dollars. hmmm
