I'm trying out germinating in Jiffy pellets for the first time myself as well. I think I prefer the paper towel method as its easier to monitor whats going on. I was hoping to use the little Jiffy greenhouse thing I purchased for cloning but the humidity dome for it is too short to be useful for that purpose.
Yeah thats why I'm getting impatient. its annoying not being able to see whats going on. But if Mandala suggests not using that method I will trust him.

LOL go to Mandalas website and read what he has to say. I would have done it that way, but he said not to. And he has been doing this forever. So I figure if I fuck it up, I can contact him.

Always worked for me too
But then again so has starting them in soil
One time however two of the seeds I put in soil didnt germinate after soaking the shit out of them so my friend was like well here if this dosent work just get new seeds and he poured out the bong water and it actually worked and the plant grew healthy as fuck

Has anyone tried germenating a seed twice? Like letting it dry out then trying it again? I'm not going to do this cuz it sounds stupid but I'm just wondering.

Mandala's beans are really thick. I germed mandala's speed queen in paper towels recently. 10 out of 10 popped but 2 seeds took longer. I actually tossed'em in soil with the others and they poked through the soil a few days later.
I'm sure yours will pop up. Were they a bit on the thick sida as well?
I was pretty content with my results. 2 died and 4 went male ....So it was 50/50. I look forward to seein the hash berry grow.

Well I have only ordered beans on 3 different occasions, but so far mandala's have been the largest/thickest. The ppp I got as a freebie with the mandala were half the size and they germed the fastest.

I always germinate in peat pellets. Never had a problem save for a few seeds that were bad. That's the Kushberry x Skunk a day or two after they popped through the surface of the pellet. Takes me 3-4 days to see them pop out of the surface.

hmmm, I wonder why these are taking so long. How deep do you plant them? And do you cover the hole?
