 Depressing weekend

This weekend I feel is going to go horribly.
Tournament this weekend
My debate partner is getting his wisdom teeth taken out, my replacement partner is sick. I am going to be debating with someone that has never debated before.
Everyone have a nice weekend, I might post while there, but if not sunday will be my return.

Because there was nobody else to be my partner, the debate style in HS is way different than in college. We are not allowed printed evidence, only common knowledge.
We honestly did good for them being first years, one of the main problem is also we are a Community college, so we usually only have people who are first and second year student. Learning debate is more of a peer to peer experience than a lecture deal. So the downside is we don't have seniors to help out the new kids.

We get a different one every round. This was state so we had 3 resolutions to pick from, and each team got to cross one off each.
Me and my partner didn't win a single round, mainly because my points weren't supported well. (Nobody's fault, I wasn't expected to do well because I didn't have my partner) We Probably should have won one of the rounds because the judge wasn't judging correctly, she allowed the other team to play on her emotions, and voted against us for a reason that the opponents didn't even bring up. (The judge isn't allowed to make their own arguments against a team, only judge who won from the teams interaction with each other.)
I was the second ranked speaker in every round we were in though, and most of the ballots just stated my teams arguments were good, just that they were not supported by my second speaker well, or at all. But I can't blame my partner (actually partners I had two that switch on and off, they both were first years and needed the experience) just not enough experience.
Time to get baked. 
I'm not letting it get me down, most of my judges stated we should have won. After next year I might be switching from this style of debate to the kind that has only one resolution a year because I will be considered a first year.
