Rocklock,Green crack, and bagseed

A friend of mine gave me a feminised rocklock seed so i decided to grow. I also had 2 bagseed. I put one of the random seeds in a germanating sponge thing i had laying around on 2/4/10 and put the other 2 seeds in paper towels the next day. the seed in the sponge sprouted on 2/8/10, the rocklock sprouted on 2/12/10, and the other random seed on 2/13/10. Then i bought 4 green crack clones and they dont look very good.
Im using garden bloom potting soil it contains, fir bark, forest humus, peatmoss, perlite, chicken manure, worm castings, bat guano, kelp meal, alfalfa meal, oyster shells and dolomite limes. lol dont know if writing all that was neccisary.
I am using 2 4ft fluorescents with two 6500k and two 2700k bulbs.
Im kind of new to growing so im hoping this will help me grow good plants. my phones internet stopped working so can only get 1 pic up right now.
the worst green crack

Yup that green crack clone looks a bit haggered
Sounds like your dirt is pretty good, has lots of great organic stuff for your plants to love on. Looks very similar to what is in the FF Ocean Forest everyone recommends.
I wish I could give you some help with the clones but I am only a n00b myself really and the one pic is not very telling Hopefully one of the mods can hook you up with a diagnosis in the morning.
Till then welcome and keep tokin

from the look of those burned, curled tips, I would place all my money on Nutrient Burn. Someone else will chime in to say yay or nay.

I would also but I suck at diagnosing still maybe you can fill us in on some more details on your grow in the meantime. How long ago were the clones cut? What kind of growing space do you have? How close are the light and what sort of ventilation do you have if any? Also have you beat metroid yet? I never did, got frustrated and chucked it.

yeah I agree. way way way too much food. the curling, ramhorn shaped leaves are usually an indicator of pH issues also

my phones internet still isnt workin so i cant put up anymore pics yet.
I got the clones 3 days ago but I dont know how long ago they were cut, i got them from a dumbass and i dont know what kind of soil the clones are in either. they have used alot of water since i had them, the soil was dry when i got them.
Im using my (7'by2')closet, i have a fan constanly blowing on them(slightly). i open the door for air exchange twice a day.
I have two 4' t12 fluorescents about 1" away with an 18/6 cycle. i keep the plants mainly under the 6500k bulbs and i rotate them when i give fresh air.
lol i did not beat metroid the disc got fucked up, fun game tho.
Is there anything i can do to help them recover nicely?

you should figure a way to constantly exchange air in and out of the closet once they start to grow they will use up the air in the closet much quicker then twice a day.
On the clones just take it slow they might look like they want water but i almost guarantee they will be good for 2-3 days between watering. Over watering is like the #1 mistake. make sure you saturate them then let them get nice and dry before watering again. this makes the roots really stretch and you want that r00t pr0n don't you. best way to tell when to water is to actually feel the weight of the pot, get used to how it feels bone dry and soaking wet.
If the dirt they are in hasn't been flushed yet you might do that next time you water then you know you have a good starting point.

Yes there is some threads around with details but your basically rinsing the soil. Your supposed to do 3 times as much water as soil and some people recommend doing it with a very light nutrient solution not just water. At any rate the water you use should be of appropriate PH(6-7 I think is fine) and distilled or well filtered un-chlorinated.

I would say just leave the crusty tips and damaged leaves. once they start to get bigger you will see the plant drop them. when I have cut bad parts off before the leaf usually dies back even more from where I cut.

^Agreed. THere's a thread in the cult section that discusses whether or not to trim dead and dying leaves. it's an interesting read. Those plants posted this morning look 1000x better than that first picture, iluvdank. just keep those lights literally right on top of the plants.

don't cut anything!
You will need to re tie the head every few days or so depending how fast its growing. you may also then tie down side branches to make them shoot up even more tips. it will all depend on how the plant grows. It's kinda like doing a bonsai tree, you watch it everyday for a while planning to make one little bend then go and do it.
I am off to do some tieing myself I will throw up some pics when I am done so you can see whats happening on my stuff.

That's pretty much what I do, not sure if it really matters but part of why I LST is so I get to be hand on. It seems to make the grass grow faster. I didn't do any adjusting last night both the clones going to flower next have been stunted by cold again it looks like I am just having a hell of a time keeping these warm in my garage.

That sucks man. Get a space heater! The temps in my house would be around 50F if I didnt have one run at full blast downstairs, our temps are around 70F in the house now. Our insulation sucks.

Yeah I put my small heater back in the box it's the only one I feel safe having in there cause it doesn't really get hot just warm. Temps are up in the 80's now so I am backing off on the thermostat looking to stay about 70-75 ish I don't want my roots too hot.

now is a great time to start LST. You can really start it whenever but really I wait till it's big enough to handle a little bumpin around before I make my first gentle bend.
I would put a rubber band around the edge of the pot and use that to anchor small pieces of wire to. I like using wire better then twine because I can put branches right in a certain spot not just pull them down.

my comp wont register the camera so i havent ben able to put up pics. But the plants are all looking nice but the 2 bagseeds look like they have spidermites. all the plants are tied down now all clones took well to it. i got some steere manure and a rabbit and alfalfa for the rabbit, could i use the rabbit poo, alfalfa and the steere manure to make a tea? and can i use the rabbit poo fresh or does it have to be pasturized?

those fuckers will take over in a matter of hours once they reach critical mass. there is lots of way to handle them check the forums real quick.

i put the rocklock, the 2 bagseed and 1 green crack. my original plan was to build a little room to bud the big bagseed. I made it out of a small dresser by flipping the top droor upside down and taking the bottom droor apart and keeping the front on. i have 3 cfl's two 23w and a 13w in there and i put cd's up to reflect light. Its put together and i put the bagseed in and the lights were way to close. i should have thought about it with the lights in there but it slipped my mind. so i put 3 GC in for veg and the 4th wont fit so its in the with the big plants to bud.
ill put up pics wen the comp will let me.

bagseed 1 has brown spot and yellow edge of leaf

well good news and bad news. good news is preflowers started on rocklock and the green crack thats in bud. the bad news is i got preflowers ont all the other green cracks in the veg room.
how did this happen?!? i had the light at 18/6 and they all have white hairs.
im pretty sure both bagseed are male but cant really tell yet.
so should i keep the light on veg. or put on 12/12 for the 3 GC?

your plants are just sexing, they won't start flowering until you change the lighting to 12/12 like Dephect said.
To get some better pictures with your camera just use the flash on every shot and do your best not to get shaky hands.
If you've still got that problem with your bagseed then make a seperate post in the diagnosis section. It may take a while, but you will get a response there.

well balls got bigger on the bagseed and are all over. its growing more balls than pistils so time to chop the hermie. allwell kinda looked like shit anyways. the purple crack(what im calling the plants i was told were Green crack untill i get actual name) in bud is sprouting pistils all over its not gonna have much bud because its so little but im lookin forward to seein the quality and watching her mature.

heres some day 12 flowering pics purple crack(dont know real strain yet)
rocklock(couldnt get good pic that far away)
does that look like balls to anyone else? found those on rocklock there the only 2 so far.that would suck if it was a hermie because the 2 bagseed got taken down for having balls and i had to put another purple crack in bud because it wont fit in veg room. so i have 2 in veg, 3 in bud

Leave the experimenting to the scientific community. I say go with the HPS for sure.

damn there that much better hmm how much does it add to electric bill like $20 a month for a 400w? i dont pay it and the person that does will get pissed if it goes up hella and will probly tell me not to use it. but i dont know about leds either i really doubt a 90w led is equal to a 400w hps.
anyone know what a 90w triband will really cover?

A 400w probably won't be more than $10 a month, depending on how much they are paying per KW.

Don't take it personally. I get that all the time. Even when I bump my Journal no one really looks at it. I just changed my mentality and about it and said, "Hey, fuck 'em, I'm going to continue my Journal for myself."
I use the Grandmas' Gold myself because I can't find straight blackstrap up here. I usually feed and then, when you're supposed to use plain water, I use 1 tablespoon molasses to 1 gallon of water (every watering). Hope this helps.
