How simple can your veg room be?

So I've spent all time so far developing and building a flower room. But now I am to the part I should have started with anyway. If you read my previous posts I was going to do quite a large ontaking for my first time ever growing. I decided to start smaller, reading your posts all told me it was the safer and smarter way. So anyway, I was wondering what kind and how many lights should I run for a space of 3ft tall, 3ft long, by 2ft deep. I want to veg 2 nice bushy guys that when I send to flower will get nice and big. My friend made it sound like MH isn't necessary, you can veg excellent plants using flourescents. So how many would sound good for this space and what type would you run? Also how much do I need to worry about airflow? Fan installation or just leave an opening with a fan blowing fesh air in from my room? Thanks for any help, I'd really appreciate it. I plan on starting soon so the second I receive some good feedback I'll hit up the stores. Thanks again guys,

Why does no one answer my posts? From all the looking around at your pics and posts you guys have a ton of knowledge and know your shit. I just want to replicate some of the shit I've seen for my friends here, they'd go crazy seeing product like that. So please feed me your knowledge, or tell me to take a hike either way please help a brother out.

Ya I know, I just saw like 8 hits with no reply. But I guess there's probably more rookies like me on here than I realize. Sorry if it sounded like a burst of rage;)

Yes you will be fine using CFLs for vegging just get a bunch of them per plant. Also, although CFLs dont really run hot, if you have a lot of them in the room you will want a fan in there to get the heat away from the seedlings.

I think you should try to get 200+ watts in that space.
If you fully enclose that space, you will need to rig up some kind of forced air system, but left open it might be okay... You should generally always try to provide air movement of some kind though.

With any lights the more the merrier but for that size space you should be able to get away with 6CFL's. I say 6 because you will want them on there sides not up and down and 6 ought to cover a good bit of the area.
As for wattage go big if you want but I just vegged a really nice bush in a 2x2 room under 3x14w and 1x65w CFL and I could have had 4 plants in that area (there is 5 in it now but it's cramped)
The big thing with using CFL's is you will want to keep the plants as close as can be. That means either adjusting your lights up and down or your plants. If you try and set seedlings 3 feet from any amount of CFL lights I would bet they stretch bad.
