I have what I think are aphids, I sprayed the plants with neem oil but I think I missed some. I have been reading about using nicotine as a insecticide but one of the sources warned against using it on tomatoes and I have read that tomatoes and marijuana plants are very similar. I have also found a few people using it as an ingredient in insecticide for marijuana plants. can any body give me an answer as to wether it's safe for marijuana?
those were the ones I found that used nicotine. I guess I was looking for some personal experience but I guess if Ed Rosenthal uses it it must be alright.
I know the thing is with tomatoes is that it and tobacco are both in the nightshade family (nicotiana) and I'm not sure why, but the tobacco will cause mutations. You aren't even supposed to smoke around your tomatoes. If they even fruit normally they end up all mealy and crappy...
But, I don't think Cannabis is related at all... though I think I have heard that cannabis can get tobacco mosaic virus?
