Buy GH FloraNOVA Grow and FloraNova Bloom.  It's simple.

If you are short on cash just get the grow for now.

It will do well in veg., then ge doesn't have to buy something later to Bloom.:yesnod:

Maybe, but I havent ever gotten a 100% sure answer on anything. Coda has reccomended Floranova cuz its easy to work with. So I think I should probably go with that. Got any suggestions?

lol, that's exactly what I recommended to you a week ago also.

I'm not trying to say that floranova isn't a good nutrient, I just don't want you to rush into anything without being aware of what the potential consequences are and feel like you wasted your money further down the line. I've been there

I can't think of a nute I haven't tried to be honest with ya. I like the three part nutrients but found that I get just as good a results with the Nova. I like Nova cause it's one of the only one part nutrients that seems to handle all the nutrient needs the way I like. Plus the ease of a 1 part nutrient makes it kind of nice.

As far as nutrients that I've seen better results with I really haven't seen any. I'm not saying nova is better but it's as good as anything I've seen including the advanced nutrients Connoisseur line.

That is exactly what I thought and needed to hear.

Wow.  Yeah I really like the simplicity of a standalone nutrient system.  Especially because it's not REALLY expensive, at only a few more bucks than 1 of the 3 part systems I was debating.

Go with the Nova line man.

here's my main thing though; the high levels of phosphorus in GH nutes can't be that good for you. They have some of the highest P levels in the business, and elemental phosphorus is extremely reactive to the point of being downright explosive. I've heard reports from people that reducing their phosphorus levels in their feeding regimens significantly improved flavor while decreasing the harshness of the smoke and pulmonary irritation.

Do you think there's anything to that?

Did you copy paste that from another thread because I swear I have read that exact paragraph, word for word.

Well then do a long flush I suppose.  You can use MG soil and nutes as long as you flush the hell out of it.

I use to then I did the test and used hundreds of people and proved otherwise.

ahh yes I remember that thread very well. I loved that test!

but in this case I just mean phosphorus in general, whether it be organic or not, is just supposed to be bad for your health. I suppose you could argue that the plant will never uptake more than it needs regardless of how much is present, but I've heard a bunch of experienced growers claim that excess phosphorus makes their smoke much harsher

lol Oh man that Maneater bud that I smoked was harsh, but only in the sense that it had so much resin on it that it was like smoking hash hahah

It was smooth and tastier than fuck, but gave me that "THC burn" I call it, and that only happens with the best of the best I've smoked.

I can't wait to see how these plants turn out, I already peeped some trichomes and they have barely even begun producing calyx's...

gonna be soooo frosty I can't wait, I've never grown a plant that was all that frosty.

Magazines for the commercial hydroponic industry are some of the best places to get ideas for your garden. Much better then shit like high times and crap when it comes to growing.

Most of the stuff used in hydroponics can be made by yourself. The magazines just give ya ides to shrink down and use yourself.

Do you think it would be alright if I bought a cheap like 30 dollar one then made sure it was vented well?

I forget your exact set up, if using a cabinet it's gonna have to be air cooled. Which is easy enough to do to just about any reflector.

Well the reflector wont have glass, its gonna probably be a wing syle with no hole for exhaust. But I'm planning on pulling air out of it with some tubing and a fan. And running the air though a carbon filter.

Yeah. I'm gonna pull it though with that 240 CFM fan. Do you think that isnt gonna work very well?

oh shit, not with that fan you posted. did you read what we all said about it? it will definitely not work with a filter attached but it would maybe be okay with nothing impeding the flow

The pics with the white coat (car engine paint cause it takes the heat) are the after pics. The flat white worked better then the sheet metal alone. I use to do air conditioning that is how I learned to do work with metal. Now if you can dimple the inside or get a dimpled insert that is better then flat white paint. When I made that I was still fairly new to growing.

Looks like a damn nice job!!!

I was asking because I have a roll of aluminum sheeting in my garage, I could easily crease bend and fold it to make a ballast.

I was thinking about buying a 250w security light and remote ballasting it for my current cab and building my own reflector.  That will save me at least $100...

trip why don't you get a reflector from rvfgardensupply.com I think they still have a deal code for 15% off you can enter. Its under the sponsors forum, and he usually has a monthly deal of 10-15% off. I got 30% when I ordered my reflector from there it was a sick deal. I dunno just another idea.
