I was walkin out on the sidewalk today and slipped on some ice. Twisted my ankle real bad and now its swelling up like a balloon. I hope its a sprain and not a break.

Ha ha yeah, I'm gonna get it looked at on monday. For now I'm just gonna ice it and elevate it and put an ace wrap around it. Shits painful as hell to walk on.

why would you wait till Monday?
Th town you live in has no urgicare or ER to go get it looked at?
I mean being a paramedic and all, think you would want to have it treated as soon as possible to prevent any further issues?
But hey, sorry to hear about your slip. I have a weak ankle now since i rolled it several times in the past. All have been bad sprains and no broken bones. I would take the advice of NobodyImportant and stay off that leg and stay good and fucked up if your gonna wait till monday?
And Trip, Why are you a jobless paramedic? They are usually in high demand around the mainland and even here somewhat. I'm not flaming you here. Just have been wondering this for a long while now.

A paramedic is a medical professional, usually a member of the emergency medical services, who primarily provides pre-hospital advanced medical and trauma care.
sounds exactly like an EMT's job to me. 
Also, he WAS an emt. he IS a student.

EMT is a couple extra years of schooling. EMT is an associates degree and Paramedic is basically like a bachelors. they're similar, but different degrees of awesome-ability.
and yes, I love giving trip shit.

I'm waiting till monday to see a podiatrist, the emergency room is way more expensive. I also quit doing the EMT thing because it was stressing me out to much man, I've had to deal with a lot of dead people and stuff and I really didnt like that part.

Ok, well I have an idea what I'm talking about for my state then My roomie is an EMT and two of my other friends are paramedics. it might be different out where you are but that's the hierarchy in colorado.

anyone can and should use an aed device if they know how. that's not something you have to be an emt to do. i've gotten lots of training with those fuckin things. for a while i was thinking about buying one, but have just put it off. maybe when im not spending all my money on seeds.
