Trich (the mean green) contaminated spawn is great and will definitely help your plants, black mold is harmful to you, you don't want to be around that without a HEPA mask .

If you compost correctly, everything in there is beneficial, and sterilizing it defeats the purpose of live composting (all of the microlife will be dead).
