How difficult would it be to create an application for smart phones from the news feed on the shroomery?
I'd like to help out more around here and post cannabis news articles like what's done over on the shroomery, but all these articles would be cannabis (and drug war) related of course. In doing this it would also be nice to stop posting the shroomery news on the main site front page so that people actually get directed to the growery, rather than the shroomery. ya feel me?

I don't know a ton about iphone apps but it should be pretty straight forward especially if the forums already have an RSS feed. Otherwise you would have to write a script to scrape the posts and feed them to your app. But once you have an RSS feed you have a lot of options. Perhaps you could even find an open source RSS reader package already coded for the iphone and just extend it with a growery UI.
The only other problem that comes to mind would be distributing it. Apple might not let you put a growery news app in their store. I don't have an iphone though so I just can't answer that. Seems like there is plenty of other questionable apps though you could site as reasons to let you have yours up.
