This ain't your grandma's meatloaf, unless shes french, it features a Mirepoix. I just cooked up the dopest loaf of beef ever, check it out.
Loaf Ingredients - 1 1/2 pound of ground beef or 1/2 pound of each ground beef, pork, and turkey - 1/4 cup chopped onion - 1/4 cup chopped celery - 1 carrot thinly sliced - 3 clove garlic, minced (note: i always use extra garlic) - 1/2 teaspoon dried basil - 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 teaspoon salt - 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper - 3 slices bread torn into very small pieces - 1 cup milk - 1 large egg, beaten
Ingredients for sauce topping - 1/4 cup of your favorite barbecue sauce - 1/4 cup of ketchup - 1 tablespoon honey - 1 tablespoon your favorite hot sauce (cholula) - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire
Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all the loaf ingredients large bowl in the order listed above. Transfer mixture to a 5x9 inch ungreased deep meatloaf pan. Mix all the sauce ingredients well and spread over meatloaf after 10 minutes of cooking. Bake meatloaf for approx. 1 1/4 hours or until center is no longer pink. Let meatloaf sit for 5 minutes before removing from pan to serve.
