Are there any strains that are low smell ?
Do extractor fans with carbon filters work at removing the smell?

Some indicas are pretty low odor while growing. You'll have to search for specific strains.
Yes carbon filters work but must be installed properly, and if odor is an issue you'll want to seal up the grow space.

Yes, carbon filters remove smell. That's what they are designed to do. If they didn't work I can't imagine they'd sell too many of them.

I'm fairly paranoid about the smell problem at the moment actually. I've been away from the place for a week now, and unless a window's opened it tends to get around the house. It's definitely something you have to keep on top of.

If your grow's small enough sending the extracted air straight outside through a vent or similar should be fine with the diffusion of air. I'd say for 3 or 4 plants you wouldn't have any problems this way.

No. In fact there are many, many, many indicas (and sativas) that you'll smell before you get into the same room.
Check out Mandala seeds too...they're great for new AND experienced growers, have a lot of vigor, and are some great smoke. Some of them are advertised as low odor strains; you can do some research here.
edit: if you like what you see there, I recommend buying from Seed Boutique, and they generally have Mandala strains in stock.
Finally, the girl in your avy is ridiculously hot. That is all.

This is very true. You really need to be careful. In my house I'd one plant going with poor ventilation. I came back after a couple of weeks away during flowering and you could literally smell the plant in every room of the house. And we have a 6 bedroom house.

In another thread here they recommend Nirvana Papaya.
My friend used the nirvana seed bank before. He bought 3 different strains one was supposed to be purple and they all turned out exactly the same He said they are a con/fake seed bank.

Nirvana isn't a con, they're just an "economy" seedbank.
From them, you get what you pay for, but IMO Mandala is worth WAY more than you have to pay.

I got these from Gypsy Nirvanas Seed Boutique. I havent grown any of them out, but they only took 7 days to get here. And also they are from Mandala. I have heard good things about Mandala, and that was part of the reason I bought some Hashberry.

OK, thanks for your help.
Why would a purple turn out green though? Does that happen?

I stand by Nirvana, a ten pack of white widdow seeds. All turned out female, all grew to be healthy plants. Can't go wrong.

Maybe he did something wrong just don't see why a purple plant would turn out green.
It was under hps, seed grown in a pot. He grew it full size and there wasn't even a hint of purple.

Luck of the draw when growing from seed, you don't always get what's advertised.
