why aren't more people going with preflowers yet most wait for the ball sack or hairs to show? is it unreliable?

i keep hearing people doing clones on mothers to see if they are male/female but they fully let those clones develop.
Wouldn't it take the same amount of time and much less work just to wait for preflowers?

if its a clone from a female plant, then its guaranteed to be female... unless you seriously fuck it up!
And without a 50x microscope, its almost impossible to tell the difference between male and female "pre-flowers"

so, to answer your question its unreliable without the proper equipment. A highly trained eye would be 60/40, a 50x microscope would be 99/1. Plus, even if your plant is showing pre-flowers then sounds like you wouldnt have to change much anyway. Show me a female that flowers in 24/0 light and i'll shit a brick!

But pblcenmy... i'll show ya several strains that will flower in 24/0 light. Autoflowers. They will flower when they feel like it basically lol...
Also, my findings of why people take clones to show sex is A) Verify its female (sometimes preflowers are hard to determine...) and B) Sometimes preflowers dont show very fast. Preflowers occur when the plant is sexually mature... that isnt always a quick process...
