Hey man I'm looking for a nice camera, but honestly I wouldn't know nice if it was right in front of me.
If you see a nice camera at a fair price let me know.
I've got about 200 saved now, but I'll keep saving until I find one.

see I know nothing about them.
Most I've seen that I liked have been 300 and up.
I'm looking something with 20x zoom and 12 MP or greater.

get a digital slr cam. They have swithcable lenses and a lot of them have a higher mp capability. ive got a nikon d60 and it does ok, but i just feel like im missing something with the pictures i take. the depth of foucs is just off. im sure it's just my ignorance. There are a lot of great cameras out there and canon is highly recommended as well.

That's a bit overkill especially if he's looking for something to just take snapshots with and keep costs low.

I use a nice olympus point and shoot. Cost $200 bucks and as you can see, I'm able to take some nice shots and even some pretty good macros w/out any special lenses or anything. Spend NO MORE than about $200 on the cam, and use any extra cash for a tripod. You will never regret having one, especially after you see how much more amazing the shots come out and they only cost about $20...
It's a no brainer IMO.
I'll try to find you a decent one and report back w/ a link. You want a company that has been in the business since long before the digital age. This ensures that you get the best glass/lenses because generally the companies that have been around the longest have the best optics.
Canon, Fuji, Nikon and Olympus are the top 4 IMO.

This is a great one. I've owned a powershot for a while and it was a great camera. This one is WAY better than the one I had and I was getting decent shots with that one.
6x optical zoom is amazing and the KEY feature that makes this a great cam. 3x is standard on most, and 4x is a little less common but 6x is just great.
Canon PowerShot
I've used quite a few different brands and the PowerShot series is perfect for someone who isn't out in nature taking pictures every day.
I use mine for vacations and bud pron and it works great.
I wouldn't be telling you this if I didn't think they are a great affordable camera...

Thanks guys.
Couple of nice choices there.
I found a few and I'm going to call on them to see if it's what I'm looking for.
I want to have the option of having a few lenses because I love the out doors and see tons of cool shots while fishing that most cameras just doesn't cut it.
But I will have one before the next grow finishs.

I'd hate to have that fucker latch onto my arm when noodling...
I fish for the good stuff, Pike, Muskie, and Walleye.
Crappies are great too, and it's always fun if you aren't getting action to just annihilate a bunch of Bluegill/Sunnies

Those are both babies!
Biggest Black Crappie I have caught was about 2lbs
Biggest Northern was probably only 5-7... I just can't seem to get a big one, I had a HUGE fish this summer, but it broke my damn reel and got away! My brother and friends have all caught larger ones, ~15Lbs, and one friend caught a 25lber.... That's a once in a lifetime fish.
Buuuut I have caught a 9lb walleye before.

lol I know they are small but I can assure you I will have you beat with any fish............ I'm in the record books up in Canada for a pike 42 inches. Biggest walleye I have caught was 28 inches. Biggest fish I have ever caught was 131 1/2 lbs. Fishing is my passion.
