God Damned Nanners!
    #341707 - 01/06/10 06:20 PM (14 years, 9 months ago)

Ok well one of my sexy ladies (day 40 of 12/12) apparently decided it was going to herm on me.

Not severe at all but I've never dealt with a hermie before.  I've only found a couple of the fuckin' nanners but 1 was open and leaves had visible pollen!!!! Fuck!  I don't want seeds :nonono:

Should I just try to manage the appearance of them or should I just cut the bitch and save my losses???

Edit:  It's only 1 of 5 females and is honestly my most disliked plant.  It's taking up the most space in my grow box and is likely to have the lightest yield this crop...  I say cut her, but the question is NOW?  Or let her go another couple days to maximize???  I'm feeling I should get her out of there and keep the crop sensi if it isn't already fucked...

Cut that shit, one nanner pod is opened which means you're most likely going to end up with seedy bud no matter what you do.  Minimize the risk by preventing more pollen from spreading and cut your losses.  BTW, if you see a few nanners there's a big chance there's a hell of a lot more you aren't seeing.  They're sneaky little bastards.

Personally I'd chop a girl down the moment I saw ONE of the buggers, if it throws out one nanner it will almost always throw out more.

I saw one two days ago but caught it before it opened.

I have great vision and honestly I over obsess over my plants and examine every inch every day... Not good but in this case it was.  I would say a couple opened, and that bitch is out of there.  Luckily the pod was pinched in between leaves and I really don't think the wind blew it around, besides I don't have that great of circulation anyways.  I know i'll get a handful of seeds but I don't think all the plants will be fertilized.

She's gettin the chop now.  :yesnod:

Well yes, but it's only like 2 nanners out of thousands of calyxs.

Hah I think I got a whole 7 grams from this bitch... :nonono:

Oh well it will open up much needed space under my HPS for the remaining "good" 4 to get more light and space to mature.

The plus side is this will give me something to smoke for the next couple weeks while the other plants finish, so that I don't end up picking off of them..

ugh, man i hope that shit didn't ruin your beautiful crop.  I know what that's like and it's not a flavor to savor.  imo seeds from a hermi plant should be destroyed.

My first grow every was ruined by nanners.  Beautiful colas too.  I had one which was just decimated, one side was gorgeous, and the other side rained down seeds.

After that I'll never use an analog timer again.  Digital with a battery back from here on out lol

I think I'll be alright.  Seeing as they are pretty close anyways, I don't think the seeds will even have a chance to grow before they are harvested.

I'm literally sitting here trimming it, and have yet to find any other nanners, so hopefully I only get a few seeds here and there if any...

I'll be alright  :bigblunt:

I had a light leak for a couple hours one day but I don't think that would cause it, because the last plant I flowered I brought in and out whenever I could and tried to get it as close to 12/12 and I didn't see any hermie traits from that plant...

Maybe it was just a really sensitive plant.
