I downloaded 'Up in the Air' and 'The Hurt Locker' the other night. They're supposed to be really good. The Hurt Locker is about a bomb squad in Baghdad Iraq in 2004. You'd figure an Iraq war movie would get political but apparently it's not from what my little brother told me. It's just a straight up war movie. I'm going to watch that later tonight.
"Ryan Bingham's job is to fire people from theirs. The anguish, hostility, and despair of his "clients" has left him falsely compassionate, living out of a suitcase, and loving every second of it. When his boss hires arrogant young Natalie, she develops a method of video conferencing that will allow termination without ever leaving the office - essentially threatening the existence Ryan so cherishes. It's a strange concept but it's supposed to be really good.
