New Years Resolutions Thread
    #336855 - 12/26/09 11:59 PM (14 years, 10 months ago)

Got about a week until New Year's. This year went alright but there are definitely things that could have gone a bit better

Couple goals for the upcoming year:

1) Find a job- going to start looking on Monday

2) Start working out more often- plan to go to the gym at least 3 times a week

3) Get at least a 3.0 GPA next semester and actually attend class

4) Pay off my bills and start saving some money

1. introduce more cardio to my workout routine and hopefully shed off this extra 40 pounds by spring/summer

2. Study/Learn a new language (I'm thinkin French)

3. And MOST importantly pay off bills and re-establish my credit.

4. And possibly put a ring on my girlfriends finger within 6 months....but this will be the last on the list to accomplish haha!

I hope all you guys have a happy/safe new year.

1. Keep up the Boxing training
2. Save more money (investments)
3. Stop biting nails
4. be more productivity/less down time
5. grow a lot more greenery & potent potables (want to try poppy seeds & San Pedro cactus
6. Find someone who has access to LSD chemicals/ingredients
7. Go on a minimum of 3 vacations this year (all work and no play makes Nightgrower a dull boy)
8. and last, but not least, get back the girl of my dreams... she will be mine.

Went out job hunting for a little bit today. What ever happened to walk-in applications. Now everyone wants you to apply online and take those obnoxious personality tests.

Even McDonalds isnt taking paper applications any more :crazy2:

Because I've essentially become a hermit.  Believe me I love some couch/internet time, but it seems like all I do is get home from work, hop on the PC for a few hours, eat, then hop on the xbox until bed.  I need to make more of an effort to get out and exercise, take my dog on long walks, just get the fuck out of the house for an hour or two every night.  I just need my life to become more active so I can lose 20 or so pounds and get some more energy into myself.

Edit: I worked at a Wendy's. It wasn't so bad. It's amazing how much good a little tampering with people's food can do for your self esteem.  :drevil:

I knew it! I worked in the restaurant business for a while and although it didn't happen too often... only when the person was being a real douche (contrary to being an imaginary one). How often did it happen at Wendy's?

Not too often. I very rarely tried to make a person's food worse than Wendy's needed it to be.
Although accidents do happen. I remember cutting into a fresh packet of vaccum sealed burgers and dropping them on the floor in front of the grill. I can't describe how disgusting the floor there gets over the course of a day. I had to pick them back up, throw them on the grill and serve with a smile.

I don't eat fast food.

I stopped making New Years resolutions years ago.

Men don't wish, men just know.

I know I ain't gonna change today or tomorrow.

And if I wake up one day and know I want to change, I don't need to call it a resolution. I'd just go and do what needs to be done.

What I'm trying to say is that I'm content with who I am at this point in my life.

whey protein isnt good for gaining weight. whey protein is better for converting fat into muscle. it's low calorie and high protein

you want something like CytoGainer or what I use which is BSN True Mass. It's a about 700 calories per serving x2-3 per day on top on normal meals. It contains about the same amount of protein as Whey, but is more focused at packing on mass

Im definitely a small frame guy too. Im 5'10'', 140lbs, but I feel confident I can get to 150-155 in the next 3 months

Best of luck to you. If you want any more diet suggestions I have tons of them. I actually track nearly every calorie I intake just to make sure im taking in between 5,000 and 6,000 calories per day

holy shit 6000 calories a day? i can't imagine eating 5-6k a day id be taking a shit like every 3 hours haha.  havent been to the gym in like 6 months but when i was i put on 6lbs in one week and only went to the gym bout 3 days a week and eating like maybe 2-2.4k cal. a day. i think it was mostly water weight tho. my membership ran out so im trying to mass without exercise if thats possible haha.

where can i get CytoGainer from GNC? or if its online can you send a link? if you could pm me a few suggestions thatd be great. and thx man best of luck to you too.

Switched around my workout routine...shaved 5 lbs off so far.

I haven't attempted to do anything else I listed yet though. One thing at a time I suppose.

Check it.

http://straighthealth.com/pages/articles/darticles/fatintomusclediet.html

This site has some reliable info in regards to weight training/dieting.

Be weary of all those supplements Cosmo. Something like Cytogainer or Cellmass is good and it will work for you, but if you're not hittin the weights hard it can be detrimental to your health,  if you can maintain a consistent workout regimen...you will get good results. It's kinda funny....we are at both ends of the spectrum. I myself struggle with losing weight instead of gaining it.

8 lbs of muscle? Could I get a rundown of your routine?

Yeah I know right.

A friend of mine asked where I got it from.

According to him it's a cross of Purple Haze and Blueberry and he grew it.

He was wondering how I got his weed, I could tell him the truth of course, that he didn't grow that one.

I got to get to the final trimming and post some pics.:yesnod:
