Sounds like you are well on your way. Be safe. Post pics and more specifics when the time comes and you will receive ample assistance from the growerites. Welcome, btw.

Of course that will work for the soil, but, if you know how to airate soil withought damaging the root system - I would forget about perlite.
With at least 4-8 weeks spare before the soil is used - add some cattle manure and dig it in really well. If you have any, add a little bit of granulated fertiliser for roses/citrus/fruit but not too much. You could even add some corse organic potting mix to it. Mixing this into the soil regularly, airates while microbes in the mix will prepare it over time.
It's time to get creative.

To be honest you would be best you prepping the ground well unless you have reall crap soil. Turn over the soil and add chicken manure and fish blood and bone they wont need feeding up till flower.. + you dont have to hog round sacks of soil

Yes Chicken Manure (Dynamic Lifter) would be great Highly recommend some Potash too! Turn it over into the mix with everything else, let it settle for a few days, then turn it over again etc... wet it occasionally if no rain, then, you guessed it, turn it over again.
In 2 months, it's premium soil.
