I'm currently at uni in the UK but I'm thinking of moving to Australia after in graduate, in particular Melbourne and was wondering what the weed situation is like there. Stuff like:
Quality Prices Government/Police stance
and just generally any other information could be appreciated.

Where to buy marijuana: area is known as 'oonga boonga' near the center of the city. Be on the look out for men who wear shirts with the mid-section cut-off, and have knife marks on their stomachs. These people indulge in marijuana use, and utilize self-mutilation to achieve an ecstacy state. But be vary of them, they are very dangerous, and can kill for money, especially people who aren't black.
Hi I'm From Australia, grew up in Sydney and now am closest to Brisbane. In Melbourne (like most cities) you will mainly buy Hydro (various good quality) for about $20 AUSD / 1 gram, maybe 1/4 ounce for $100 on average. Like other controlled substances, if you get caught in Australia DO NOT get caught with proof of intent to distribute or sell. eg. Weighed up seperate bags with lots of money. If it's only for personal use you might have to pay a fine, do community service or something similar after getting a slap on the wrist by a judge at court. Especially if it's your first offence, it's not a very serious situation. That's what I've heard anyway...
Only about 2 weeks ago there was a bust in Victoria (oustide Melbourne) by the Federal Police, they raided 1500 Plants from 15 properties across the state. This was surprising to me because.....
Melbourne has hopeless weather! If your growing outdoors - because Australia is southern hemisphere, you want to go further north than Melbourne!

yeah melbournes a nice city but the people are kinda lame from my experience, i'd recommend sydney.
and they have this place called nimbin that weeds basically legal at and you can buy your chronic for cheap across from the police station lol.
