 temp in grow room vs. temp at top of plant

so my grow room will get to about 80 degrees F with a fan blowing gently on the plants. i know 80 is a bit high for marijuana, but when i do the hand test (put my hand palm down at the top of the plant) my hand feels fine. not hot at all. its in a closet, and i would open the doors, but the light hums really loud and i dont want anyone who doesnt need to hear it, to hear it.
so if the room is 80 and my hand doesnt feel any heat at the height of the plants, the plants should be fine, right? i havent noticed any problems. just want to make sure.

You should be fine. Open the door when you can.
What kind of lights you running that make so much nosie?

a 150 watt hps - sun system. its the built in ballast that makes a loud humming noise.

80 is fine. Not to many days up here get below 80 in the summer and the buds are pretty good up here. (Mendocino county)

80 is great!, you can be anywhere between 80-85, but never ever above 85.
