 bought a 150 watt HPS 2 days ago.. it already fucked up...

don't ya love when you buy something fairly expensive, and then it fucks up? i got a 150 watt hps system like 2 days ago, and its been running since i set it up. i came home earlier tonight after grabbing a bag, and i go in and hear this annoying ass noise coming from the light. not the light itself, but inside the built in ballast.
i look in the manual and it says if theres any excessive noise coming from the ballast, its probably because the transformer got loose.
idk what it is, but if i squeeze the bottom of the ballast part the noise stops, i let go and it comes back. it really sounds fucked up...
im going to package it back up and take it in tomorrow and see whats up. it would be nice if i could get it replaced right there instead of having to send it in.
ugh.. end rant.

lol yes! i am. well, new to the growery, but not to the shroomery. got in trouble over there for being too nice, got banned, then unbanned and now my PMs are disabled 
ive learned though... it wont happen again.

no worries homie. youre fine. most likely your light wont have any problem. its gotta be a rarity.
i just went in and he straight up handed me a new one. he said it was cool, no problem or anything.
also picked up a bottle of fox farm's grow big.

Do you have a local hydro shop?
MPLS is a big city and there is only 1 that I know of here.
What did you pay for it? I paid $85 w/shipping.

GJ supporting the local hydro store man! I don't mind spending more to get it from my local place. Hopefully they'll hook you up if they're reputable.

Yeah they are pretty good, the prices are higher than on the net but being able to drive there would be a plus I guess, hmmm maybe I should apply there! That would be a GREAT job for me.

yea, ive got a local hydro shop. not too big, but they have anything and everything you could need. awesome place. i love going in there, but am always paranoid thinking its some kind of set up and theyre gonna watch you and shit. i have 1 clone. its not like im big time lol. idk if i said it, but i initially bought the light for my san pedro cacti, so its not like im growing a bunch of weed plants.
i paid about 90 bucks after tax for the light. i dont mind paying a little more to get the best possible stuff to do what i want to do.
i want this hydro shop to stick around!! they do nothing but good things.
