There is WAY too much anime out there and most of it is mindless garbage BUT there are some REALLY good ones out there with great story plots and all. Check out the Cowboy Bebop movie: Knocking on Heavens Door.

dude, check out the series, the movie hardly does it justice.
i just watched a 3 part OVA called Parasite Dolls. it was pretty interesting, almost wish there had have been more episodes.

I mainly watched those shows on adult swim when it first came out. Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, and Yu-Yu Hakusho or something like that. Trigun was my favorite.

Samurai X (Rurouni Kenshin) is an excellent series, i would suggest watching the whole thing and not just the OVAs. it's 95 episodes though, plus 4 OVAs and a movie. it takes up 25GB on my hard drive if that says anything, but it's probably my favourite anime of all time. hell, my desktop background is Kenshin.

OVA I've seen of the series
I really enjoyed it tho

yeah, it doesn't have many seeders, but i got it years and years ago though so i'm actually surprised it's even still active.
the quality is really good though, and it has dual audio (with subs if you wanna watch japanese) so you can watch in japanese or english. i recommend japanese, but i'm a bit of a snob.

there are only 3 or so animes i have seen that have acceptable if not amazing dubbing.
Cowboy Bebop
Trigun
Fullmetal Alchemist
there may be a couple more, but those are the ones that really stand out in my brain. i actually prefer Cowboy Bebop in English, which is weird to me. i've watched it both ways, but i really do prefer it in English. same goes for Trigun.
