I'm sure he plays Satanic back-masked records while he does it too.

Btw, How can you tell that early on it's a male?

A very keen eye for the male bastards!

You can tell if you know what to look for.

Anyhow, just got back from 1 week vacation and grow room flew solo the whole time.  Progress is good.  Photos and updates once I unpack and such.

I'm curious to see!  My little ones are catching up...

We'll be flowering around the same time.

Wow! I'm really impressed with the speed of your grow!

It's only been a month and it looks like you have some fat juicy buds well under way!

Nice job man! Is it because of the 1000watt or is this pretty typical grow time?

I think it is not a typical grow for this strain because of initial problems I had with them but the 1000 watt light helped them catch up and produce good buds for their size.  The EWS will be far more bountiful.  As far as time, I think they will be 2 weeks ahead of predicted schedule.  Not sure why they finished so early.

Those are some seriously hefty buds there!  I liked the spider idea, super rad.  What if it turned on you?

Update:  Been busy for holidays and sick and a zillion other happenings.

However, I am in the process of testing the Auto Blues!  Harvesting the side car buds every few days and drying to start testing.  I have a target date of harvest as Jan 1, 2010.  This is based on the strains supposed 60 day harvest period.  I am watching the trichromes carefully also.  Not relying on any one method to harvest, more or less testing, observing and then I will choose when it seems optimal.

Using a microscope to look at trichromes each day.  So far, I still feel, it is too early.

Also I tested the bud in many ways.  I tried smoking the clippings.  Terrible idea.  Tastes awful and gives you more a smokers headrush than a high and vanishes very fast.  Won't stay lit and have to smoke a lot.

Next, I took fresh bud clipping and chopped it up with scissors.  Left it on a plate for a few hours then smoked some.  Harsh smoke, tastes like grass and gets me moderately high.  Then left same chopped buds for 6 hours.  Smoked some.  Similar but burned better.  Still leaves you wanting and vanishes fast.

Then each night I cut a small joint size nugget from them and chopped it up and let it sit on a plate spread out until morning.  Smoked each morning testing the bud.  Obviosly, the dryer it gets from hanging, the better it is getting overall.

4 days in on the testing.  It is smokable now, has a very mild grass taste, very mild wonderful perfume pot taste.  Smokes better than a lot of street dope I have had as far as burning smooth and even.  Considering curing the buds I have had hanging for 4 days.  Might let it go another day.  I would assume that smaller buds would dry faster than larger and that a week might be too long before getting the curing going.

However, I can tell by the nature of the buzz as well, another strong indicator that it is too early.  Which gives me great optimism as if this was as good as this stuff gets, it was worth every last cent and effort to grow the first yield.  And it is not as good as it will get as I know curing will strengthen it.  So will another week of Trichrome production on the main plants.

Sorry for my absence.  I was away for a month leaving the EWS finishing flowering on AUTOMATIC with timers on water for watering etc.  Amazingly enough, they suffered very little, grew FAT and I am in the process of harvesting.  I will have a final weight in a week or so after drying, but I think I hit 1000 grams easily on the 6 plants.

I just took a totally wet bud, ground it in a coffee grinder and let it sit air exposed for an hour and I smoked it wet and tasting like lawn clippings.  I am very stoned.  I cannot believe it.

More later.  I will take some pics.
