 Strains For Pain? (That can be obtained in seed form)

I suffer from sickle cell pain off and on throughout the year, and I was wondering what's some good strains to relieve pain? I'm looking for something with more of a narcotic effect, since I'm regularly prescribed morphine. I hate the nausea and itching associated with the morphine.

A lot of people praise Lifesaver as having some great pain relieving qualities. I haven't tried to grow or smoke it but that's what i read. The shitty part is trying to get some of those beans. They are hard to come by. I don't really use cannabis for pain relief so I can't help too much. Good luck!

In my opinion which may not be reliable as I'm not a med user. You want to have multiple types of medicine so you don't become tolerant to one which may or may not happen depending on the user and the particular medicine.
I've never had severe pain I was trying to treat but I always found white widow to take the edge off and really relax me without putting me into stupor when I was sore after the gym.
The other 3 strains I listed I find to have too strong of a medicinal effect, they basically just put me to sleep :P White Russian is another I can't stay awake if I smoke too much. I had a bunch of white russian hash a while back I couldn't smoke more than 2-3 1hitter loads without falling asleep.

thats good to know. I dont need mj for pain on a daily basis, but I do smoke often. But when that pain does arrive I wanna have something nice and strong to help keep me from going to the E.R

Medicine Man is probably what you want or Sensi Star. Medicine Man will yield far more IMO and is likely just as strong.

Medicine man has the highest CBD levels measured in a commercial strain as well, so it has a lot of value as medicinal cannabis.
