Ok time to grow right.
    #308524 - 11/02/09 08:52 PM (15 years, 1 month ago)

If I move into a new place I'm going to get a nice setup going. Please feel free to give me advice and everything. Last time my grow sucked so I didnt really get shit off my plant. I think im going to grow Strawberry Cough for its Anti-anxiety properties. I want to be able to grow with no one knowing I'm even growing. That means no smell no light no sounds. I have all the veg supplies I would need right now. All I need is Flowering supplies.

Supplies I'm getting most likely. Someone please put a price on all this stuff for me if you could.

Strawberry Cough Seeds.
400 Digital ballast.
Fox Farm soil.
Fox Farm Nutes.
Inline Fan (maybe) if you guys think it would help.
Ducting for the fan.
PH Tester
Anything else you guys can think of.

I want this to be a cheap grow energy wise. But I'm willing to spend some money on supplies. But I'm trying to keep it as cheap as possible. I'm trying to do things right this time. And I think I'm ready. So input input input!!!!

If your doing a stealth grow you will need an inline fan to filter the air and cool your light/grow space. If your exhaust pressure is strong enough you then you can build a light baffle under your grow box or in a wall and use that as your intake. A few years back I turned two old 70's style box speakers into stealth grow boxes. I used cfls, soil, diy carbon filter, and diy CO2/environment control unit. All this for about 200 and I could fit 6 small plants in each box but each plant usually gave me like a half o so i got a decent 1/3 pound per harvest from the boxes combined.

Other then the strawberry cough seeds your well on your way. I make the comment about the seeds cause they won't be real. The strain comes from Kyle Kushman and it's a clone only strain. The Dutch Passion version of the strain is nothing like the real thing.
Take a look at These they should both be good for Anti-anxiety properties.

Romulan which is a California Indica x White Rhino

Arctic Sun ---Skunk #1 x White Widow. I actually think this one may be the way to go. Very killer bud and a great yield. With 1 400watt light you can pretty close to getting a pound with this strain and a much better bud then either Chronic or Critical Mass.

I can't give ya a price on the stuff cause I'm to lazy to look it up also :crazy2:

400 Digital ballast.- $181-211 depending on model.
Fox Farm soil.  50lbs $25.00
Fox Farm Nutes.  vairable
Inline Fan (maybe) if you guys think it would help.  $139.95 for a 4 inch
Ducting for the fan. $20 at home depot
PH Tester $60-80

Carbon filter 4" $104.95

They're are a lot of variables here man.  Different brands will vary a bit on price.  Are you just using HPS the whole way through??  I definitely recommend venting your light, it will reduce your temps inside your grow room as well as allow you to get your HID closer to the plants.

I think I found an inline fan for 24 dollars at home depot or lowes or something, but I dont know if its all wired and what not.

Magash, I dont really care what strain I get. All I need is something that is really anti heart racing and anti anxiety. I might listen to you cuz you seem to know what you're doing I guess :eyeroll: haha just kiddin man. But ya Magash I need something like seriously anti- anxiety.

Check the CFM rating though on that cheap ass Home Depot one, might explain the price, otherwise there is "something missing" about it.  Far too cheap.

Those are the wrong type of inline fans, the kind you want is inline vortex fans. The best pricing I have found for them is at      discount-hydro.com

And they need the appropriate fittings for your ducting as well.  Like he stated before, check the CFM.  And if you haven't already, get Jorge Cervantes book Indoor Marijuana horticulture.

I wouldn't use that considering the amount of CFM it's putting out.

More in the 170+ range.  Your also are going to need to factor in the amount of drag your carbon filter will put on the amount of output.

Yup...I mean you could do a cheaper squirrel cage fan for your venting.  They're just not as efficient and a little louder.  But cheaper if money is an issue.

Hell I have one that I would sell you if you want it.

Yep that fan is garbage and will not be suitable...what size of closet or grow area?  Maybe if it is small enough.

Its not gonna be super huge, maybe 1-3 plants. If feminized probably 2. So not big at all.
