 LST and Auto Flowering Strains

I am growing Auto Blue X Auto AK47.
Seed to Pre-flowering took 20 days and they are developing 6th Node.
They are roughly 4" tall and tops are 14" from 1000 Watt HPS in a Cool Tube.
They have a 56 day flowering period. Can grow to be 18" to 36". So they will grow a lot more during flowering.
I have been considering LST on them, but the fast nature and short size makes me wary of doing so. Anyone have input about whether or not this is viable or will give any additonal yield/loss?
Contemplating doing it to 2 of the 5 plants to compare yields and see but am looking hard for more info.
