Where are the 2nd set of Spiky Leaves?

Ok so I ordered 2 Feminised "Kandy Kush" (TWxOG) seeds from Reserva Privada, Germinated then planted in a mix of Miracle Gro garden soil & Miracle Gro seed starting soil (pretty much peat moss) and somehow the taproot of 1 of the 2 germinated seeds broke but made a recovery and looking healthy but none of the seedlings are sprouting there second set of spiky leaves, Its been close to 5 days since sprouted. Any Explanation or reason for this to happen? And will they continue to grow? Pics Below of my Setup.

your plants are in miracle grow and you may as well start over because miracle grow is miracle garbage.

I don't know why they wouldn't continue to grow. Are you just getting anxious to see growth take off? The very start of a grow is the worst part, imo. I would keep an eye out for deficiencies. Growth can take some time in the beginning stages. I can see anything wrong with your setup aside from what budman said about the soil, but i've never used it myself, and i think the general consensus here is that it's not good soil.

Ok well, I seem to see very tiny leaves starting to come out so i guess they were just growing slower than I'm used to. Just wondering besides from the time released nutrients what's the problem with using Miracle Gro?

Not sure why people hate miracle grow. I have grown buds under CFLs in miracle grow with decent results. Getting the nutes right was really tricky, though. Had to deal with a lot of burn.

They are coming.. (leaves that is) Miracle gro will work.. don't listen to him..
Sure its not optimal.. but it works!
IF YOU WANT PREMO though, ditch the Miracle gro in the future!
If you want average use miracle gro.

Not quite. Yes, for a mature plant Miracle Grow soil will work, however a seedling is going to struggle to stay alive in that environment. Miracle Grow does make a seedling mixture, but there as been no explanation of which MG soil he is using. One of the biggest mistakes newbie growers make is overfertilizing their plants, or fertilizing too soon in the life of the plant. IMO, plants should not receive any nutrients within the first 2 weeks of life, other than the nutrient rich soil that it is placed in. I'm talking about soils like Black Gold and Fox Farm which have worm castings and other natural nutrients. Miracle Grow is "nutrient rich" because they load their soil with their crappy non-organic fertlizers; basically forcing the grower to use their fertilizer mix. Using a soil like MG, you have a high chance of burning a young seedling. I prefer fertilizers like Alaska Fish Emulsion, because being an organic fertilizer, they are easier (less harsh) on plants, and much more forgiving.

Thanks for the info, I'll try out FoxFarm with my hashberrys i'll be growing this spring. & Everything's been going great so far with the plants maybe to much nitrogen, since there a yellowish green, but that should go away sooner or later? I've also started a Grow Journal for people who may be interested in the Kandy Kush strain.
