The edges of the leaves are curling upward a bit. What's the temp and ventilation like in there? Otherwise all looks great!

Whoa buddy, I wouldn't transplant those!
You don't want to have too much medium/root mass ratio otherwise the plant won't be able to actively consume all of the moisture in the medium in a timely manner and root rot may occur, ESPECIALLY if overwatered.
You want the plant to be able to dry out the medium completely within a few days/a week tops. I generally start in 16 oz cups for 2 weeks, then to 1 gallon until sexing, 3-4 gallon for flowering.
It's best for the plant to go through a wet/dry cycle. It's healthy for the root system as it allows oxygen to penetrate the soil when it dries enough. Then the plant thirsts for water and when it is provided I notice a "boost" in growth the next day. I keep this cycle up and it seems to make my plants more vigorous and more adept to stress.

Ok man, I greatly appreciate the time you took to write all that, My soil stays wet for a long ass time dunno bout weeks but def more then a few days, I water like once a week so should I stop until I notice that the soils getting dry, I'm very concerned about root rot from the over moisture that is there. Again thank you very much for that info

You are most welcome!
You should water when you stick your finger in up to the 2nd knuckle and it's still dry, or do what I do and feel the weight of the pot in your hands freshly watered, and when it's completely dry, then you can easily feel when it needs water based on how much it weighs.
Nice work thus far though!
Keep it up

get a light socket splitter and double the amount of light you have currently. Turns one socket into 2. And Fox farm is okay but i would have suggested a different brand. Everyone and there grandma uses F.F. Pot has some required rituals, but nutrient brand is not one of them.
And about your decision to turn to 12/12. Seems a bit small
-Most people do this once the plant is at least 1' tall. or the plant started doing alternates rather than parallels.
-or to force gender

only reason i recommended it other than i've seen results.

yep, definitely increase the amount of light you have on the flowering one, you won't be disappointed by the investment.
if you can afford to quadruple the light on that plant, and have the light coming from more angles than just the top of the plant you'll reap dividends

Here's the one I kept to veg. Just using a dim florescent tube on 24 hours to keep her growing, gonna get some clones later when she gets a lot bigger. I have this Petes Professional fertilizer 20-20-20, I plan on using this for her. Anything wrong that I'm doing please point me in the correct direction. Thanks & heres a pic. (I'd have one of the flowering one but the lights are off)

hey harry how ya doin? Sorry that "it's fine" was about the fox farm. I meant Fox Farm is fine nutrients. Foxfarm Big Bloom is bat guano and earthworm castings based and most if not all of there products are pH stable. But i've had..in my opinion better results dealing with other products on the market found more specifically in hydroponic shops than in my local super market.
That all cleared up. most people use high nitrogen fertilizers, more like 20-10-10 for vegging rather than 20-20-20 but i think most plants will kinda filter out what they do and don't need, and once applicable almost anything is better than nothing.

hey bud!
one other thing, the plants can filter out what they don't need, but the soil has limited exchange and storage sites for nutritious cations such as N+, Mg+ Ca2+, K+ and so on. the soil is slightly picky about which ones bond to where and whatnot (mostly on the exterior of expansive 2:1 clays such as vermiculite or kaolinite), but for the most part it's definitely possible to saturate those bonding sites with a surplus of certain ions and lock the rest out. this is also why you water with plain water in between feedings, so that the H+ in solution can displace currently bonded and bound nutrient ions and release them for use by the plant.

Yeh The genetics are the main reason I gave this strain a try (OG kush x Trainwreck)
Dunno if this qualify's as stretched but they look they are? I heard that it may be from being potbound? Haven't changed anything so I dunno why'd they be stretching. (beside being potbound if they are) I plan to buy some more lights as well since there gonna need them will this lower the amount they stretch?
Here's a pic.

so harry,
does that mean, give your plant a mini flush between feedings regularly to kinda wipe the slate clean of the more bindy soil particles?
Or if not can you dumb it down a bit for me?
And OG KUSH x TRAINWRECK what a good deed to be done for the marijuana community.

No it just means that you give them nutrients on one watering, then for the next use just straight water, it gives the nutrients in the soil a chance to be used again, without getting locked out (nute lock).
Then those will be used up after 1-3 waterings and you feed them again.
I like to go on a Feed - Water - Water - Feed schedule, but I use less nutrients than the average person as well...
I hope this makes sense to you and helps.

Can you tell what it is yet? Before the hair emerges it is still possible to determine sex.
The first signs of a calyx tend to be longer and skinnier than that of a Male.
They will look very similar at first, so don't do anything until you know for sure, but I've gotten to the point of being able to identify sex after the 1st day of preflower growth. The male tends to have a different texture look than the calyx, which tends to look more smooth and uniform. The stamen tends to have vertical lines that can be seen if you look hard enough. They aren't completely rounded either, because where the visible "lines" are on the stamen, ridges tend to form and they almost take on the shape of a walnut if that helps at all... Anyways now that i've confused you with my stoned rant and weak attempt at getting you to visualize my description, I'm still awaiting pictures!

no man, they look like extremely healthy plants to me. very good job so far with the nutes and watering etc.
you see how dense the growth is right at the very top but the new branches growing from the axial buds further down the plant are much smaller? that's because you have more light, but still not enough
I'm just trying to help you hit maximum potential. you clearly have a green thumb, but you'll never see your maximum capability with just 2 CFL's per plant

I was thinking maybe buying a 150 watt HPS lighting system and using that for the main source of light? Is it worth the $90? If I bought this I would be using the cfls I have now for the lower parts of the plant.

You will be glad you got the hps. Although you should go for a little more watts. But you will def. see a difference with that HPS. I say do it up!

Get the HPS... 150 is good because it will stay cooler than most CFL setups. Keep the HPS over the top and use the Flouros for side supplemental lighting to maximize the lower growth that usually suffers slightly. Plus the HPS will stop that stretch real quick. Like Harry said though, very healthy looking and great green color. Maybe a little more N, but that could just be the color tint of the photos.

I'm think of getting another fertilizer. Fox Farm Big Bloom? any good results with this fertilizer? The reason i want to get this because the buds that are growing are getting any fatter or lush they may have went to s slow growth. I think that being potbound is the reason that growing has slowed so much? I'll try to get some pics up to show you guys what I'm talking about

Beastie Bloomz looks good, But could the slow growth be because of being potbound? I know Miracle gro sucks but I need some soil to transplant and theres no other choice around here. Anyone know of a simi-decent miracle gro soil that is good for roots to continue to grow with ease and any pointers with transplanting 2-4 gallons of soil with out severe damage? Thanks guys for helping out.

haha, I feel like such a dick saying it again but slow growth= not enough light. I've done some grows under CFL, and the switch to a full intensity HPS system was astounding to me. I actually saw growth of up to an inch a day during veg.

What about flowering Harry? Did flowering under CFL's take longer?
I always thought that it would be like a week longer.
Never tried though, and don't plan to. My 200w of CFL is about to be replaced and/or added to an HPS.
I'm really looking forward to HID.
My MH owned CFL's for vegging larger plants! And the heat was minimal.

never got the chance to run the same strain twice until just now, it was always just runs from seed.
I guess it might though, my last CFL grow was a pretty stout indica and it took about 9.5 weeks to finish, so it seems possible, but I can't say for sure if that was due to the CFL's or the strain.

How many total lumens/watts do you have?
I have 6 CFL bulbs.
(1) 23w ~ 1500 Lumens 2700k - 23 - 1500
(3) 30w ~ 2000 Lumens 3000k - 90 - 5100
(2) 42w ~ 2700 Lumens 2700k - 84 - 5400 ------------------------------------------------------ So I have a total of =197w - 12,000 Lumens
It's working pretty well for me. I can't wait to see how much better HPS is though.

HPS sounds legit, to much money to go out and get one now Next Grow I 'm gonna have to get some better supplies and lighting systems. I have a question about harvesting, some of the buds hairs are turing scarlet red and some brownish? But it seems way to early for this to happen. Is this normal or is there something wrong, I was thinking maybe some of the buds are rotting? Theres lots of air exchange and exactly 72 degrees all the time except night time where its upper 60's. What's the problem?

I am Currently doing a all CFL grow with DWC and all the plants are rocken. With CFL grow you start out with 42 watt Actual Daylight Bulb it has a kelvin of 6500k. This mimmics what a MH light doses. I ran them for 24 straight for 3 weeks the plants got to about 2 feet tall and not streched very bushy plants i am happy. Then i switch to flowering 12/12 light cycle and i went out and go Soft White Cfl also 42 Watts they have a kelvin of 2700k this is what a HPS Bulb puts out.
I have 4 plants going so i have bought 4 42 watt Daylight bulbs for Veg I also have 4 42 watt Soft white bulbs this is the flowering part of growing. But as far as i can tell this CFL system works pretty well. This is my grow journal/Blog http://forum.grasscity.com/blogs/tayanissa/

When you flower they stretch then stop vertical growth.
edit : just noticed this threads a year old.
