My cab is almost 90 cubic feet. I have a lame, noisy, ~160 CFM fan that I plan to replace, both due to the noise it puts out and the fact that 160 CFM is not enough to keep my 600w HID in check (temps climbing over 90F). I've been considering modding a Stanley blower (I'm not exactly what you'd call "rich"), but I have no idea how noisy it is, or if I should go with an even more powerful fan. My intake air is probably around 75F on average, so I may need all the power I can get. I'd like to not have to invest in a really nice fan, but that may be necessary in order to get the combination of silence and efficiency I'm looking for.
Any experience with Stanley blowers? Are there any fans you would recommend for this setup?
As a semi-random aside, 6" flex ducting is a bitch to set up. Tips on getting it to not tear?

that was actually a pretty funny video.
there's your stanley blower. I've got one. I didn't modify it in any way. I use it to force circulate the air when the closet door is closed. When it's open (lights on) i use it to blow cold air into the closet. Anyway, as you can see it's not whisper quiet. It makes a fair bit of noise, but with the door is closed in my bedroom I can't hear it from the otherside. go to ace and ask them to plug it in and try it.

I bought mine 5 or 6 years ago.

I love the thing.

I decided to go all out with a 449 CFM vortex, but thanks for your input. The Stanley is a great blower for the price, so I'll probably invest in one for other uses at some point.
