Up Close & Personal with HINDU SKUNK

I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce you to my good friend Ms. Hindu Skunk:

Hindu Kush x Skunk #1, a mostly sativa hybrid that flowers in 8 - 9 weeks. Grows well indoor and out, producing a spicy flavor with sweet undertones.

A decent yielder with a cerebral high, but it's the incredibly copious frosting that inspires the most awe!

Some more tantalizing most mouth-watering closeups of her glistening trichomes.

Note that the first and third images in the above row feature the bud after being cured.
Fine company for a Friday evening!

is this finished product brought to us care of geokills gardening skills? Shit looks fantastic!
Let's just say that it was grown outdoors by a California resident with a state-legal doctor's recommendation, in accordance with all state and local laws.

I can't remember if geo ever told us what kinda cam he uses.
The above pictures were taken with a Canon PowerShot S5 IS 8.0mpx / 12x optical zoom / macro / super-macro. A relatively straight forward point and click with some nice additional features. No dSLR though. I've learned that taking pictures is not necessarily so much about the camera's capabilities, as it is the photographer's sense of composition and familiarity with the equipment he or she uses.
Case in point, these pictures were taken with my ol' Fugi FinePix 3.1 mpx, and though they may not offer quite the same resolution or super-macro as the Canon 8.0 mpx, I think that the overall quality is difficult to differentiate on standard size prints.

Thanks!

Drew it myself.
While I'm here, he're a few more shots of the lovely Hindu Skunk for your viewing pleasure...

Note that the purple color in the leaves is not typically a genetic trait of this strain. It has manifested due to this plant being outdoors as the winter season settles in. Colder temp's can often cause cannabis plants to turn purple, & it sure looks pretty!

For an outdoor grow I'm very surprised by the sheer number of intact resin heads!? Usually the wind blowing, bugs and other environmental variables tend to leave outdoor nugs with many headless trichomes.
The plant is kept in a container, raised on a table within a partially covered rock patio. The sun comes into the patio at a decently sharp angle at this time of year, allowing ample light while also protecting the plant from some of the typical outdoor elements.

Did this come from seed??
At some point I'm sure it did! However, these particular photographs were taken of mature clones originating from a southern California medical marijuana collective.

Can't speak for the hash... perhaps someday that'll change.
The trim of this plant was used entirely for cooking. I did get a chance to try one of the shortbread lemon bars that was baked with it though and it was a fine treat to be sure! Potently delicious.
