My baby at 1 month

Here's a pic of our 1 month old baby. How's it look?
-------------------- Things to remember while tripping
1) Cars can hurt you.
2) You cannot fly.
3) It's never a good time to die.
4) Taking your clothes off will draw attention.
5) Keep your mouth shut at all times while in public.
6) Although you may see things that are not there, you won't NOT see things that are there.
7) Don't forget how to breathe.
8) Only carry: a house-key, some loose change, and your address in your shoe.
9) Nobody can tell that you are tripping until you tell them "I'm tripping".
10) No matter how fucked-up you think you are, you'll eventually come down.

Yes we are hoping it's a she. That would really be a bummer if it was a male.

Well I'm using a 125 watt Cfl. As far as strain, unknown Indica. Got the seed from a bag of bud. Not great bud but that could be due to the way it was originally grown. No I don't need a babysitter for it. Growing it with organic nutrients so hopefully it will turn out good. I will keep you posted.

125 w cfl?!
Sounds like a grow light and not your average HomeDepot bulb.
That's pretty hefty. What's the lumen output on that bulb?
You got a reflector on that bad boy?
I'm sorry to say, but with one plant, this might be an empty endeavor.

I'm planning on adding more at a later date. Yes it's a grow light with a reflector. Your right not a Home Depot item. It's 8150 lumens. Quite blinding if you look at it directly.

Lots of fine weed originates from bagseed from coffeeshops it seems. Hell even chemdog is allegedly bagseed, now I just need to find out what was in the original bag.

125watt cfl bulb = 8150 lumen's = over $50.00
150watt hps bulb = 16000 lumen's = $24.00
I started this before I saw your adding more light.
A little on cfl's and why I hate em so fucking much. First they are not cooler running. You have to do the numbers. When a bulb isn't turning power into light it's turning it into heat.
People fuck up and compare like wattage bulbs. They figure if it takes a 200watts of cfl light to get the lumen's then they compare it to a 200watt HID light. There's the mistake. 100watts of HID light will be more lumen's then the 200 of the cfl. They compare the wrong bulbs to each other.
I'll make it easy for ya. Say I have a room with 2000watts of cfl light and it has 290000 total lumen's. Now I for some reason I decide to switch everything to cfl lights (fuck I hate these fucking things) how many watts of cfl lights will I have to use to get my same lumen's that I had before cause if I don't the yield is gonna drop like a rock.
I'd have to run 35 of those 125watt cfl bulbs and over 4500 watts of power to get the results I had before.

I've read a couple of studies on it and apparently it does. A lot of commercial green houses now pipe in music for the plants. http://www.ehow.com/how-does_5421613_do-plants-react-classical-music.html

Yeah they work but the gram per watt ratio is garbage. They take almost 3 time the power to get the same amount of light so they are far more expensive. The bulbs are nearly twice the cost of a comp HID light.

Are you sure about that last longer thing?
I've changed my household cfls three times in two years.
I have grown under the same 400watt HPS for the same two years.

Ok, I'll run with that but is it smarter to save a few bucks now to a buy a light system that costs twice as much to run and gets half the yield. There really isn't a way around that.

I bought two 65 watt Florex floodlights at Costco for $10 each and got about 2 ounces out of them in three months. I did not like the whispy ass buds and plan on upgrading to an HPS next summer, but for my situation at the time the CFLs were great.

For some reason every time I see your name I think of San Mateo and Oakland.
Anyway it all depends on how you smoke too I guess. If I could only get 2 oz every 3 months I'd be spending 2 of every 3 months out of weed.

All right this little sucker is finally taking off

1) Cars can hurt you.
2) You cannot fly.
3) It's never a good time to die.
4) Taking your clothes off will draw attention.
5) Keep your mouth shut at all times while in public.
6) Although you may see things that are not there, you won't NOT see things that are there.
7) Don't forget how to breathe.
8) Only carry: a house-key, some loose change, and your address in your shoe.
9) Nobody can tell that you are tripping until you tell them "I'm tripping".
10) No matter how fucked-up you think you are, you'll eventually come down.

I might suggest moving the light closer?!?!
I use a simple 30 Watt CFL to veg my seedlings and my children usually get to that size in a little over 2 weeks, because I keep the light 1-2 inches from the very tip top; keeping good airflow between the light and leaves. You will see a dramatic change in growth rate if you do this.

Yea, I meant to say something about this after I asked what kind of light you're using...
But if the light were too far I'd expect to see some stretching in there..Either way something is kind of off here though its filling out nicely

It's not stretching very far probably because of the heavy indica characteristics (notice the branching) that he mentioned, coupled with the fact that it's not too far off (light distance). I'd just try moving it a couple inches closer that's all.
Edit: It is old enough that you can probably actually tell the sex of it, if you look hard enough and know exactly what you are looking for...

Thanks for the advice. I just moved it closer and have another couple of lights on order. Does anyone use FoxFarm Big Bloom fertilizer? Is it used only during blooming or can it be used for vegetative state too?

Lots of people use that on this site. I personally dont know much about it. Probably not for veg state though. Whats the NPK of it? I'm sure someone will get to this before you post up the NPK haha. So consider this a free bump.

Looks like 0.01-0.3-0.7 for the NPK value. I looked at their website and they also have one for vegetative growth. I think I will pick up some of that.

Yep Chop that sucker down and toss him somewhere (not somewhere incriminating)
Next time plant like 3 seeds so you can almost be sure to have a female or two or three
