 Quick PS3 question

So I recently wanted to play some old PS2 games on the new PS3, and I can and that's great and all, but how on earth do I save to the PS3 when it says no memory cards found? I searched google for some answers, came out empty handed, hoped someone here may know the answer, cheers.

No you have to create a virtual one in the games section on the XMB I believe.

If you're trying to play on the new slim ps3, I don't think it's compatible with some games.
Only the first released Ps3's are fully compatible with every game.

all red ring is is overheating i think. i just make sure mine gets plenty of air and so far, knock on wood, i havent had a problem...

This is the 2nd time I have heard that it's just overheating.
How come it doesn't work anymore though? That's what I want to know.

I have an Xbox too, that's what i originally started out with but my brother got a PS3 in Greece so I use it to keep in touch with him while killing stuff, great bonding experience hah, as for the answer to my original question all you do is make a virtual memory card in the system, props to PS3 for such a simple saving technique.
Both are great systems, in their own right I can't lean towards either or since they're so different, play on players
