Photography Question - Resizing and Lighting

if this is the wrong forum just move it but this seems appropriate.
got a few questions for all the photographers and electronics experts
1. What's the best way to resize my photos before uploading them to the growery? I'm just uploading them straight up now and it's taking forever to get them uploaded.
2. What lights are good for taking bud shots? I want to get "truer" colors. (actually any lighting tips are welcome/much needed)

what's the make and model of your camera? there are a lot of good flashs out there that you can use if your camera supports it. i know what you mean about taking a while to upload pictures. I don't resize mine and the camera is set to take the finest picture it's capable of. I don't have any photoediting software either, except for paint if you want to label it as such. You could probably resize it using paint if you have nothing else. I don't know if that would reduce the quality or resolution of the pics though.
edit: I changed the subject from "Yo" to "Photography Question - Resizing and Lighting"

oh ok. that's a digital slr camera. You should be able to buy a flash for it. That's what i'd look into. In fact that's what i want to do for my camera. It's a 10 mp nikon d60. But a good flash will make a noticeable difference in a positive way. that looks like a really reasonably priced camera.

No, it's not. That was an error on my part. It looks like it's classified as a compact, point and shoot cam. It's an "SLR-styled digital camera". I guess that just refers to its set up (buttons and functions) and the way it fits in your hand. You should still be able to get an extra flash for it though. Hopefully other people come in to provide some insight as camera work isn't my forte.

I just right click the pics and resize them in paint. I drop them to 50% and they come out to around 100k.
