Simisu said: not imho no... it's quality over quantity in my book... i don't hang out in cannabis cultivation forums too much these days, if you tell me you came across that term even once since you joined here i'd feel a little better about it but somehow i have a feeling that's not the case, again if i'm wrong feel free to correct me!
It's a legit term and makes sense in the language used. Just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it has no place in the glossary. Like i said before i think it should be an expansive yet articulate(and concise) and understandable. So MY plan was to simply add definitions from various published and respected sources. If we go through every one we can get our hands on and constantly add those definitions and at the same time revising definitions to better fit our users I think we'll end up with someething just wonderful. It's basically a wikipedia page for cannabis cultivation.
I guess your question is where do we draw the line on things being cannabis cultivation vs. definitions that apply to all horticulture in general. Right?

no i'm not asking that question, but if you are then there's no need to draw the line... i remember my days of lurking in cannabis grow forums and how very technical and "scientific" these discussions can get, so in that sense feel free to go deep. but what i did today was very simple editing, it took time but to has to be done, i've done the exact same thing before(even better then this as it is right now, in hebrew... i'm trying to locate that file right now and maybe translate it back into english) my take is that if you're going to add a seemingly general cultivation term at least try to connect it with the practice of cannabis cultivation, add context!

so to change it to something like lets say...
insects or organisms that are introduced as a Biological control to the grow area to treat or avoid an infestation of harmful insects or organisms.
something like that?

Yeah, that sounds great. And I thought your comment implied that question. I agree with you.

as long as a the definition is relevant to cannabis, detailed, and correct it should be in our glossary

cool...
i just found it... actually it's not as big as i remembered but it does have some sweet definitions that should be added.
for example
cotylandons (sp?) EC electrical conductivity measured in milliSiemens(related to the ability of the roots to suck the nutrients from the water... or something like that... i'm not sure, it's been years)
PH Potential of Hydrogen! we should add context here too... for example that cannabis prefers soils between 6-8 PH (i'm not sure on these numbers... probably we could find some reference with more accurate range)
and a couple more...
