I am novice grower and i don't plan to fully grow a plant , i just want to see it and then i will eat it. For emotional issues. I have the seed into cotton for 10 days it haven't appeared yet! When i was younger i was planting plants and the first stage is to collapse it into cotton , i got then healthy plants but now it doesnt appear . Will it?

Any particular reason you used cotton? Perhaps try paper towel, peat pucks, or soil next time...

I agree with Dr. penguin, I've never come across someone using cotton to germinate. Alot of people claim to have a 90-100% germination rate using the "paper towel method".
Something else I have heard (but never tried), was rubbing the seed with some rooting hormone gel before placing it in between the warm, moist, paper towels.
If ur not sure what this method is, u can look it up online or I can explain the basics to you. good luck brotha.

A week does seem a bit long for no signs of a taproot... I don't think they'll make it Old and immature seeds sometimes take a bit longer than good seeds but I would probably get a second batch going while you wait for the final verdict on the first ones.
The paper towel method has always done me right. Fold a paper towel over a few times, moisten (not soak) the towel, open up a fold and arrange your seeds, then close the fold and put it in a ziplock sandwhich bag. Simple.
I usually store mine on top of my comp subwoofer as it provides a little bit of heat. Speeds up the process slightly, but it's completely unnecessary, inside a drawer at room temp works just fine. Most seeds start to push out taproots within 36-48 hours in my experience.

Ok, I just saw that heat helps but is not necessary. False, heat is one of the triggers that tells the seed it's time to germinate. Most of the areas that land race strains come from get pretty cold in the winter and the heat helps the seed time germination.
When germinating seeds try and keep them at 85f to 90f and your germ rates will go way up. I just germed 30 Sensi Seeds Skunk #1 seeds that are 6 years old and 28 germed. Did 10 Biggie Small from Doc Chronic that were from the same order as the Sensi Seeds and 10 germed.

I use the paper towel method with a bit of hydrogen peroxide in a food container on top of a heating pad (~85degrees). I've never had a seed not germinate on me with this method.

Heres a tek..
Need: Paper towel Seeds 2 plates (small ones you ppl!)
place a few seeds on one plate that is right side up like you would eat.
Then moisten paper towel.
Then place towel over seeds.
Next, put other plate over the plate..
Back your back your seeds are started!

O_O im sorry but in my honest opinion thats a major party foul. Why do you want to eat an innocent seedling? What did they ever do to you aside from making the world a better place?
