Hello Growery

Hello all. I've been a member of the Shroomery for awhile and been lurking here since this forum started. I haven't grown any MJ in quite a few years and finally started something small for personal smoke. The setup is nothing special. I was given a few clones from a friend and just put something together with what I had. There are 3 plants under 1 65w cfl at 6500k and 4 42w at 2700k grown in organic Miracle Grow from Lowe's. They just hit day 15 into flowering today.
I am not to sure on the strain. The mother came from a lone seed found in some very nice purple bud from Humboldt county. I will try to get a pic of the mother plant next time I go over to my friends crib. It is currently in week 6 of flowering and huge. Luckily we still have 8 clones in veg that we can get more clones from.
In the future I am looking into going to a hydro setup with a 250w - 400w HPS. Something fairly small with 4-8 plants scrogged. But that's a little ways off.
Well here is 2 pics of my 3 little ladies.
Two weeks into flowering and already getting a little frosty.

I know it's far from the best, but it was the better stuff out of my selection from Lowe's.

Well damn, I hope it doesn't do that to mine. So far they are doing really good for the setup I have.
What kind of hydro setup does everyone recommend?
The person I got the clones from is using one of the micro garden Ebb and Flow systems and it seems to be doing good, but I have nothing to compare it too.

I would recommend a top feed drip system like the one im running in my log. Personally, i don't think it gets much easier than that. At least with the resources I have access to. Welcome to the Growery! Those plants are looookin sexy! Keep up the good work!

I looked at your grow, very nice. I like the setup, but that might be a little big for what I would have. I was planning on getting a 3x3 grow tent or building something similar size. I am looking into buying a new house sometime in the future and will hopefully have a room I can use to grow.

Right on. Do whatever works. Try things out. Get it the way you want it and never buy blackmarket cannabis again.

That's the plan. Thanks for the help. I'm sure I will have more questions down the road.

A little late to start a log, but here is a few pics from today. They are looking better every day. Temps are a little warmer then I'd like, but it's starting to cool off here and that will help.

I have been debating posting updated pictures. I had to leave town for a week to do some work and came back to some sick plants. When I got home they were extremely wilted and looks like a few different nute deficiencies and heat issues. One of my plants was pretty much dead, so I chopped it along with the top of another plant. I still have what was originally my best looking plant, but she is pretty sick looking. I got my temps under control now and hopefully wont have to leave for more then day or two next time. They are 5 weeks into flowering now and I'm hoping I am able to get something to smoke from it. Anyone have any idea if this is fixable or am I wasting my time? There seems to be some new growth over the last few days so that is a good sign.
I have started setting up my next grow already. I'm doing an Ebb and flow that I will be building for 4 smaller plants and a 250w HPS. I also plan on getting a tent and moving my setup out of my closet so I can control the temps better.
Now for a few sad pictures:

She went from the 8th to the 13th with no water while I was gone. I think between that and the heat at about 90f during the day is where I went wrong. My temps are now at 81-82f during the day. These girls looked perfect before I left. I have been giving water only since then about once a day or two as needed. Been kinda scared to add any kind of nute in fear of making things worse. I should have come on here and asked earlier. PH is right about 6. All I have is paper strips, but they have been pretty accurate for litmus paper. I tested the water that came out the bottom of the pot after watering.

Yeah, that plant looks hungry AND thirsty! 5 days without water?! You're begging for issues there. And as Dr. S said: get that pH up. If your pH tends to drift down, take it up to around 6.8 and let it come down to around 6.2 then repeat. The drift actually helps the plant since different nutrients are most readily available at different pH's.

Thanks for the help. I had no choice about leaving them for a few days. Making money is more important then the little extra smoke I was going for. I have some water with a ph of 8 and some food mixed in waiting until the plants need water again. Hopefully my next update will be much better.
