Kids on a leash
    #269110 - 08/22/09 05:40 PM (15 years, 2 months ago)

I just got back from a drive and witnessed a woman with her child on a leash and she was walking in front of him almost dragging him.  I tried to get it on video at the stoplight but in my hippy haze i failed to operate my phone correctly.  anyway, it pissed me off for a lot of reasons.  I was curious what everyone's opinion is.  If you don't know what i am talking about it's this....

Wow. What does was she thinking, her child is a dog? This is just retarded. How could you even think up a contraption like this.

Does anyone remember Harriett The Spy? She bitches about them in the opening scene of the movie.

My parents used one on me when I was a kid in Japan but with those kinds of crowds it's somewhat understandable. Plus people were creepy and always patting my head for good luck because my hair was blonde.

Yeah Ive seen it once or twice in my area,. It pisses me off to no extent but I always make sure to walk by them and make some sort of rude remark about what kind of a parent they are.

What kind of parent needs to leash their child. If they were a good parent they would drop the leash and pay more attention to and discipline their child.

If there's ANY canine device that should be used on children, it should be a muzzle

I see them a lot in my area. I think its fucked up. Actually, I was at the mall earlier today and saw a child on one. I always make it a point to say very loud, "Is that kid on a leash?! Thats fucked up, hes not a dog"

I don't even like dogs on leashes.

They should be trained properly like children.

Yeah, i was wondering.  I bet most of us aren't parents here.  I don't know how I would deal with a kid with disabilities.  That's what scares me.

Kids are a hand full and them some, sometimes!!

My mom jinxed me when i was growing up. Said that all the trouble i caused them growing up was coming back at me 10 fold! Well as some of you had read, i have been dealing with my youngest step son and his sticky fingers. UPDATE: For any of you who were in the thread where i was dealing with the kid. We had an officer come out and talk to him! He seems a bit more humbled now ! I know it scared the shit out of him. It was a kodak moment for sure!

This has been the 3rd boy to go through this stage. It don't seem to get any easier either. Each kid and circumstance is unique. Anyways as much as i hated the idea of the dog leash thing. Some kids in public places need restraints. I had been on more then one shopping trip with small children and had them run off and get lost in the stores. So some kids need the leash. But like KaptKid a shock collar and a muzzle at times would be a good investment!!!  J/k!:rofl2:

I would feel like a goofy parent for keeping my kid on a leash, I just think if I had to get a leash that I wasn't doing a good job as a parent.

See, that term pedo gets thrown around a lot.
Is a 16 year old guy having sex w/a 16 year old girl a pedophile?
If not, then how is a 30 year old considered a pedophile for doing the same thing?
I think y'all need to look up the definition for pedophile.

When I was young my mom took me traveling a lot, I once went to Disney World with her and she insisted she would get me a harness "body leash" whatever you want to call it. I told her I'd be dragging her around and acting like a disabled child.

She didn't get the leash.
