I'm gonna encourage them to wait till they're at least 16 before trying it. You could actually use it as a motivation for good grades.

I'm going to wait until they realize on their own that D.A.R.E. is a bunch of bullshit. Then I will let them know I smoke and if they want they can. If their mom won't let them I will just have to beat her extra hard then.

I failed the D.A.R.E. Program when I told the D.A.R.E. Officer I didn't learn a single thing in the 5 years they tried to brainwash me. You learn shit when your uncle gets thrown in jail for cooking meth, I didn't need the lies and deception to know drugs hurt your body, all it did was make me lose my respect for law enforcement. Witch by the way, when a 5th grader stops trusting cops due to the government requiring them to lie to the kids about drugs that is a problem.
Its only made me know that my kids will have supplemental education by me. I really don't trust teachers to tell the truth anymore.

So I did and she says I told that stupid cop she was lieing, but I just couldn't tell her how I knew./the Cop said people who smoke weed grows green hair on their tongue./

Its not personal, but I was treated poorly from 1st-2nd grade by the teachers because I didn't buy into their lies. Its not all teachers I don' trust, but I will be teaching my kids personally.
I am also going to teach them how to play Chess the right way.
Edit: Also Buddy, I don't distrust the teachers for anything directly their fault, but the government gives biased material.

Yea, idk I just expect my kids to be like me and just to feel unchallenged until high school. The only subject I couldn't teach them is social studies, or at least the history/geography part of it. I'm going to force them to show me all their completed work.

This is a question I ponder probably more than any other. You have to walk a fine line these days with what you tell your kids. I've read too many stories about kids going to school and blabbing about something or other that raises suspicion only to have the parents eventually arrested for pot and brought up on charges and then CPS gets involved and takes your kids away. I think I will hide my cannabis use from my children (I have none now) until they are old enough to handle that truth (for the aforementioned reason). However, during those first ten years my children will receive a world class drug education. Whether we face it or not drugs are one of the most important things in our world. We must respect them. So my children will know the consequences, legal and health-wise, prior to ever thinking about using drugs.

Well said. My mother used to tell me that getting drunk wasn't fun. When I'd ask why drunk people seemed to be having so much fun. It's just stupid to lie about the positives of drugs, otherwise they won't believe you about the negatives. You have to accept that there are negatives with every drug. If you fuck around too much you fuck yourself up with anything.

I will let them pick up the habbit on their own but I wont let them know I smoke till they are at least 16 or older just because if they let it slip to the wrong person I would be fucked
im sure you guys understand what im saying
and yeah, most of my friends whos parents smoke... we always knew, keeping it a secret from your kids after they already found out just lets them steal from your stash without you wanting to say anything about it

I know exactly where your coming from. I don't know if I would encourage my kid smoking, or let him know I do it (if I ever have a kid), but if it ever gets out of hand then I will get involved.

lol......I'm a old timer around here. I have kids that are members here. One who lets you guys know she is my daughter and a son who keeps me a secret. I have 8 grows with 64000 watts flowering (everybody already knows this and there are a ton of pics up of my gardens) of which I have little to do with now cause the kids inherited the gardens.
Yup I paid for college. They got degrees and crap. Then the little shits go "Hey dad makes fat cash fuckit lets grow"

My kids will be able to smoke in highschool I think. I started when I was 13. They have to maintain decent grades, or atleast show me they are making an effort. School wasn't my thing but I tried.
I could see myself and future son smoking and going fishing or some shit

For my part.. I'm old enough to decide if I want to smoke or not, but at that point where my parents found out that I smoke they where cool with it... and growing it aswell!
actually after a long party night I smoked with my dad. we both fall a sleep on my couch 
My Mom doesn't smoke at all, but she told me from time to time she eat's some edibles with her best friends..
I properly would let my kid's try weed or might smoke it with them... who know's

Having a father, and to some extant a mother, that let me make my own mistakes is what made me who I am today. They wanted me to do well in school, they also let me know I should go to college. They didn't bitch me out non-stop though, and the few things I did get bitched at I deserved (I'm a fuckin' slob).
I think parents should be more involved in their students academic life, but it's hard to understand that when you want your son/daughter to be a first generation college student.
My kid can smoke weed if I get one, but i'm not going to smoke with them. I think at a certain point the parent/child relationship evolves from a superior/inferior (not derogatory, but just the fact that the child isn't a "full" adult yet), into two adults who know each other. My dad is one of my best friends, and he's always been in my corner. I think that kind of relationship is important to a good childhood.

But I would want to educate them about it. And make sure they understand consequences since its illegal here.

I started in high school, 14, but I made breakfast in bed for my mother, toast and a cuppa and asked her nicely if she didn't mind if I could smoke, she said, your not buying it and wasting money on it. So I started growing and I wasn't allowed to to smoke week nights.
20 years later and the first of my three boys is in high school, I'm not going to be hypercritical and he's a top kid so It will be his choice but there will be a nice long chat about it, i think there going to do what they want so I'd rather they be open about it.
