New to growery....

Hello Growery, as u can see im new here just wanted to say hi before diving into any questions.
i have been a member of Shroomery since march of this year.
i was sent here with a few questions and was told to say that the user "Triptonic" sent me....
anyways...
Few questions about wanting to grow just enough for head-smoke.
Will doing just one plant organically grown indoors smell so much it would cause any problems.
me and my wife smoke all day normally in our house so it generally reeks of smoked buds anyways. would it stink worse than that?
Im basically trying to get the best advice for trying to start an extremely small scale grow.
any advice at all would help.
thanks Growery.

Thanks for the welcome and answers.
so in terms of equipment....
whats the least amount of supplies i would need to grow just one plant?
what kind of money would i be looking at spending?
im not looking to grow any dank, just any homegrown to save a little cash is all.

If you arent looking to grow dank stuff then some CFL's would do just fine. They hardly cost anything. Just get yourself some good soil.

Also, you are probably going to want to grow more than one plant just in case its a male plant and you have to chop its head off.

Ha ha I just throw them in some water in a cup and put them on the fridge. The reason people put them in paper towels is cuz the taproot gets bigger I think. But water in a cup has always worked for me.

If the paper towel has been working for ya don't change things.
Get a 250watt light. CFl are good for starting seeds and cuttings and not much else. 10 40watt cfl lights won't even come close to putting out the amount of light the 250watt MH or HPS will.

Welcome to The Growery!
Best bet is with a paper towel.
Soak paper towel under the faucet and wring out excess water. Fold it into a square that fits into a zip lock baggy. Open the last fold and place about 10 seeds evenly spaced, close the fold and cover seeds with paper towel. Place paper towel in zip lock and zip bag. Let stand for 3-4 days or till you can see seeds opening and small seedlings emerging. After about 4 days or after 90% open and sprouted, place sprouts into soil or whatever growing medium you plan to grow with. and the ya go!
I have never tried it like trip, but have planted seeds directly in soil and used the paper towel technique and and have had a higher germination rate with paper towels over directly into soil.

Yea ive gotten close to 90% germination of like 12 seeds using the paper towell method and placing on top of the fridge.. so i think ill stick with that.
i do thank everyone for all input though for sure.
Where would i start a grow log if i were to start one? sorry for the noobquestion.

I dunno man I have always had success with just throwing them in water. Just depends on how viable the seeds are . As for the MH or the HPS you might be able to get the bulb for under 100 but im not sure about the whole system.
