hey man....test it out... save up an ounce of plant material like stems, fan leaves, scraps..... and do a BHO extraction on it....then smoke it ...it will scientifically work but you will not get much nor an extremely pure product....

I have made some really decent BHO out of all the scraps listed above.
Never tried just stems alone though. But i have always saved all my stems, leaf material, and bits and pieces for making BHO. I didn't get big quantities but a good smoke none the less!
