So last night Im layin on the couch with my girl and she's asleep and Im awake still. Then I hear pop pop pop pop pop. And I wake her up and I'm like "hey did you just hear gunshots?" and she says "no" so I say "im pretty sure I heard gunshots". But I never hear any sirens or anything....But today I just read the news and aparently there was a shooting right next door to my place like 50 feet away haha. Creepy.

haha yeah, damn ghetto neighborhoods with all their crackheads n such, i grew up in a place like that but now i live like six miles away ....its not much of a change but its a little nicer

i think it's really funny that you woke her up to ask her if she had heard something. also, you might wanna move. or sneak nextdoor to see what drugs they have.

You know those bullets have to come down somewhere right? And that the terminal velocity of a bullet is still fast enough to kill someone. Unless you fire them towards the ground, in witch case it could ricochet and hit someone still.

People have been killed from upwards of 6 city blocks, even up to a mile from falls bullets.
For example a 9mm shot into the air at a 45 degree angle wil return to earth at 600 ft per second around a mile or so away, this is still fatal speed.

You have to angle the shots if you shoot them straight up they will not kill you.
Edit: It will hurt like hell though.

Dude what goes up will and does always come down.
Straight up would be straight down if wind wasn't a factor.
Oh yea for fun just remember all things that go up stop before returning to the ground as well.
As to a 22 shooting a mile that would no doubt be a bad man/woman with a gun so many true variables to factor in.
