sounds like old seeds? I had a problem this spring with seed stock i had gotten a few years ago.
They were just to old and not stored properly on my part.

set them in a glass of water, although not fool proof good seeds usually sink, ive had seeds pop out of soil a month after planting before as well

also seeds like warmer climates to open up, try a seed mat or heating pad, you can also germinate just by putting them in the glass of water just be sure its warm and dark. if you dont have a heating pad use a coffee mug with a plate on top wrap it in a towel and put it ontop of the fridge, dont leave the seeds in water for more than 48 hrs, ive had ones take a few days to open but when i planted them they never grew i think it was because they were in the glass of water too long...in my personal experience ive had better luck skippin the germination and putting the seeds right into a soaked jiffy peat pucks

Are you pre-soaking the rockwool properly? You are supposed to soak rockwool for 24 hours in a low ph water like 5.5. Then drain and soak in a proper ph water fo another hour(6.5) Then place the seed in, put in humidity dome, and put it under your germ lights. I use this, but i use an organic technaflora 1-1-1 nutrient solution for a soak instead of strait water, and have had a 100% germination rate. If the seeds haven't poped out of the rockwool within two weeks, you have bad seeds.

soaking rockwool for 24hrs is waaay too long. It's a very absorbent material usually only takes about 15minutes tops. IMO

Have you researched before countering people comments. That is the proper amount of time for the fibers to have there ph corrected. Its a pretreatment. If you soak a sponge for 10 minutes or 10 days it will absorb the same ammount of water so your statement makes absolutely no sense. The time frame is all for ph correction and has nothing to do with water absorbtion. Pull you head out of your ass.

Actually I have. And if you can read, my statement was followed by "IN MY OPINION". By looking at your post count I probably do a little more research than you. So get your head out of your own ass and dont attack people for giving their opinion. And if you were some type of knowledge God you would know there is a thing called over saturation which could possibly rot your seeds before they germinate dick head.

Just cause Integra says 24hrs and talks about ph correction to make himself sound smart doesn't make him 100% correct. Just cause I say 15 minutes doesn't make me 100% correct. I'm sure other people on the forum have their OWN methods. But the main point is you can get outstanding success with what works for YOU, there is no one sure fire way. Mr. Sensitive above seems to believe you have to soak rockwool for 24hrs to get seeds to germinate. Me on the otherhand I soak seeds for 24hrs, rockwool for 10-15minutes and has never had a problem. Except for when I did something stupid in the past and put my seeds in upside down lol. But guess what... they germinated.

It is the way to have the best possible outcome. thats all. You can grow in miracle grow soil with incandecent bulbs, but that doesnt mean that's how you should do it. There's what works and there's the right way. 2 completely different things. I just try to give the best advice i can to what i think the persons problem is, and was making it clear to him, that your opinion tried to undermine a great technique.

So Mr.Funk, umm, Integra21 has quite a bit of credability here! He has some very successful grows here for the Growery to learn from. I really never read your comments but i know if the dude says 24 hrs then i tend to listen. It may of been your opinion bro but attacking and going on the offensive is un called for!
Just my opinion!

Just to comment on the battle above: I don't personally use rockwool, but there are several good brands of rockwool. Some of the manufacturers have made non-presoak rockwool, some still recommend a full 24 hour soak. Best bet is to read the instructions on your personal package. Also- Integra, I have a lot of respect for you and your contributions here, but "pull your head out of your ass" didn't seem like a warranted response to what was being said. Jeff, I have yet to see a post that Integra has made "just to make himself seem smart". As SpaceMonkey said he is one of relatively few people who make their grows available to the growery ATM. I guess all I'm saying is: we can all get so much more accomplished if we get less emotional (which should be easy considering it is the INTERNET ) and just keep it civil around here.

First off no one tried to undermine you, that's where your ego came into play. And Mr. SpaceMonkey you have every right to listen to integra more power to you. All I'm saying is I've had many many successful grows soaking mine for 15 minutes so take it how you want. I gave my advice he gave his, and I don't think telling me to "pull my head out of my ass" was the right or mature way of going about things. And that's another one of my opinions. Integra does have some outstanding plants, and he does indeed have skill. He got those results by soaking his rockwool for 24hrs, and maybe one day I will post the results I get by soaking mine for 15mins. But the way he responded says a lot about his character. You all keep doing what you do cause I will definately keep doing what I do

Yeah, the pull your head out of your ass comment was out of line. I apologize. My Wife was screaming at me on the phone at the time ant I think I took it out on Jeff. I pack the Peace Pipe and pass it to the left. I'm not one of the big instigators here, and i like to keep it that way.
