is it just a matter of strain, or is there some things you can do to turn your marijuana blue? maybe with temps and nutes, anyone?
heres some cool blue buds collected from growery posts
[something russian]
something like these
-------------------- "and take me disappearing, through the smoke rings of my mind,
down the foggy ruins of time, far past the frozen leaves,
the haunted frightened trees, out to the windy beach,
far from the twisted reach, of crazy sorrow.
yes the dance, beneath the diamond sky, with one hand waving free,
silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands,
with all memory and fate, driven deep beneath the waves,
let me forget about today, until tomorrow."~bob dylan
I'm still new but I read that chlorophyll changes to purple in plants when temperatures get below a center degree. I think that colors can also be genetic. I read somewhere that if you water your plant with extremely cold ice water within the last two weeks of flowering that it can slightly alter the color of your bud, with no increase in potency, the buds would just be a slightly different color.
Yea I heard or read that dropping temps to 69 degrees at night will give you some purple. But like Space said true blue and purple strains are genetic.
really, my grow area is in a basement that always stays cool, but is usually the same during day and night [60-65 night and 65 day] never seen much purple just darker shades of green. hm.
yeah ive read somewhere that cold temperatures trick the plant into turning darker and sometimes purple to absorb more heat energy from the light [as if it were fall and theres less light] darker colors absorb more light than lighter colors. but ive never experimented, maybe i should try cooling my g,room or do a grow in winter.

if it is mostly a matter of strain, then what strains are pink? like this lol
if you look to the upper right where some pink is starting to form on the edge of the blades, its almost the same you see with that yellowing around the spikes edge when your lacking nitrogen. so it doesnt look like a natural pink here lol there must be some secrets out there with color changing.

Well it has worked for me, but thats only when i keep the daytime temp between 70-75. And during I'll say the last three weeks of flowering drop the temp down to 65-69. But it really does nothing except add "bag appeal" IMO.

I've seen colors like that on most indoor grows when flushing is done properly. it happens when the buds are taking in all the nutes that are left in the leaves and stems
