I have a class A misdemeanor for marijuana possession back in 2000-01. Previous to that I have a AC/DC for conspiracy to a petty theft crime. Now I'm going to work in Toronto, Canada and I'm wondering if I'm going to be denied at the border. Should I tell my employee? The misdemeanor is over 5 years old and haven't gotten anything since. I still smoke weed, but won't let them know. Def will be in my system though. Should I be applying for a pardon or something? I have recently gotten my passport. I'm now worried. Please help. Thanks.

There is a couple comment blocks on the "Application for Criminal Rehabilitation" that says "Equivalent offense(s) under Canadian law" and "Maximum penalty under Canadian law". I think I'm going to be let in, if I have this form filled out correctly and no public safety issues or further offenses. Plus I'll be well dressed at the border and I'm white...

i would have the form, but dont just offer it up. wait for them to ask, cuz they might just check your passport and let you through.

What if they ask if I've ever had a misdemeanor? Will they?? Or just ask about felonies? Lucky, this isn't a driving conviction. phew!

Can the border guy run my license w/o having me pulled over to go inside? I'm thinking they don't have access to that information, unless they send the person inside to be reviewed.
